Before anyone goes overboard, FYI the folks on THR

After 82 they went to zinc. Pre-82 ones are 95% copper. I am not sure if 82 was the last of the copper or first of the zinc. The pre-82 ones are worth a few cents now and I am saving them when I find them.

Funny how they crossed off everything but "The right of the people..... infringed"

I find their arguments fascinating and dangerous. If “the people” does not refer to the general citizenry in the second amendment, and just the states as in a state sponsored militia, then wouldn’t hat set the grounds for an argument that “the people” mentioned everywhere from the preamble to the first amendment, to every other part of the constitution, would also refer to some kind of state group rather than the individual? If we started trying to make this argument about the first amendment, they would be having a tizzy fit. (just for clarification sake, when I say “state”, I am not referring to a nation-state as in the feds, I am talking about the individual states.)

I was curious why they would post a pic crossing out that specific part of the amendment and it turns out that the image illustrates their annoyance that the amendment is (according to them) being interpreted as if the first scentence didn't exist. They feel that first sentence makes the 4th apply at the state level and not the individual level... blah blah. The point is that they dont want any part of the amendment crossed out.

How exactly is $50,000 going to help them win this SCOTUS case? Do then plan on bribing the justices? Perhaps they plan on using it to amend the constitution. Its pretty sad when people can't accept the Bill of Rights for what it says. Through their kind hearts, they are going to save us from our civil liberties. God bless them.

But pennies also cost more - and enough might assist them.

Send used rimfire cases picked up from next range visit.

Wow! There is some ugly truth behind that animated graphic! It clearly illustrates that they believe 2A is valid, otherwise why the need to strike it? And since it is valid the only way to strike it is with another amendment. Not some judge or local councilman sitting in a back room crossing it out.

I'm pretty sure the picture is illustrating the Libs anger at Scalia for not recognizing the "Militia" aspect of the 2A. The Libs are flaming mad that Scalia "ignored" the "fact" that the 2A only applies to State run Militias.

I got on to some list of theirs once, probably for replying (in my own special way LOL) to mass mailing of theirs, using their own prepaid envelope. Well, I got a lot of 'surveys' back which were real one sided, so I would always correct them before replying, and I would add two cents. This was during the Fed AWB '90s. Eventually they stopped, but not before I had sent about 9 or 10 surveys back on their dime. If we all did this, the $30,000 they raised would be gone real quick.

It's good they are short on $$. They need to turn out the lights and move on...
