Just a note, while these may be the least attractive of M1A stocks, they are also one of the most solid/accurate.

(Compared to standard Walnut or the newer plastic synthetic)

The Standard model w/ synthetic stock I just bought, has cracks in it! behind the receiver. Anyone seen that before? its a newer rifle with low rounds. Thanks.

Sorry I didnt mean to crap your for sale thread. I'd be a buyer if your willing to ship to Sacramento? Im assuming bm55 backed out?

This stock was made of fiberglass in 1998-1999 (rifle was purchased in July, 1999). The M1A (loaded) also came stock with USGI parts (Bolt, hammer, trigger group, op rod). The new ones I believe are not made of fiberglass. This stock is very rugged (has no cracks). Local pickup only...

Actually, it is a USGI fiberglass stock that Springfield added a textured paint to. They ran out them as of late and the new stocks they are using are no bueno.

I couldn't make it work when I was down there but I'm still interested if you'll ship.
