How long is the California waiting period now for rifles?

It used to be 15 days when I was there in the late 80's.

DROS comes with a 10 day wait - which is still 10 days too long

They're finicky - ten 24-hour periods from the moment (I think) the DROS is submitted.

True. On my recent DROS the FFL said "you can pick up your guns on the 19th at this time..or anytime on the 20th"

Some stores make you wait ten whole days, not ten 24 hour periods, ten whole days starting the following day.

Some places don't want to keep track of time, like Trget Masters and Big 5 in Milpitas, so it's ten days and a wake up. You get to pick it up on the 11th day.

I may have screwed up my post. I believe it used to a 15 day wait on handguns only. Long guns were cash and carry back then.

but you can only buy one new handgun every 30 days. But as many Private party transfers as you want.
