After being in development for a while, they're finally done. Here is the final design:

The padded section runs the entire width of the mat and is about 7 inches from top to bottom.

Here's the master seamstress herself utilizing the rear bag.

Note the grommets in the corners of the blast mat. Tent stakes can be used to fix it in place if in a static position. There are also metal washers sewn into the corners to weight the mat down.

With the buckle design, either mat can be used separately. It can also be shortened for rifles with shorter barrels.

Rolled up it takes up very little space. The blast mat folds up and has a shock cord cinched up around it.

This is with the blast mat wrapped up with the shooting mat

Do these work for remingtons too or are they savage specific?

Nope. The mats are completely unbiased and brand neutral. They'll even work with *gasp* a Vulcan, or the likes.

You have to devise some method of making them not work with a Vulcan. ;)

But are they CA legal. Looks to me like it is detachable. Might want to make some sort of lock and take the pics down so the DOJ will not be knocking on your door.

Ooh.. nice product.. if I used either.. I'd certainly get one! Packs up nice and small. The blast mat may make a nice veil for me though.. I'll think about that one..

Maybe. I haven't found any places that have multicam in stock in any kind of significant quantities. And its rather expensive. I'll keep looking.

OK. Found a place. Its a little more expensive, but not much. Should translate to about $5 more on the mats. Let me know and I'll order it.
