Anybody going to the gun show, at the Cow Palace, the 17th & 18th?
I know, I know - no guns. I usually go for the ammo & accessories anyway. Or the chance (slim) of an older model S&W.
I'm going on Saturday, be there approx. 10:00/11:00am (driving from Santa Cruz) - maybe we could meet somewhere.

Is anybody going to be out in the parking lot selling machine guns to convicted felons? Do you have to be a convicted felon or can you just be working your way up the ladder?:43:

Oh- that's old news and been played out. As soon as *they* figured out the Cow Palace is actually run (IIRC) the (U.S.) Dept of Agriculture and is subject to Fed oversite & can pretty much do as it dam well pleases-- they quietly let it go........

I know a guy that can hook you up, but it's down south and you will have to go through some rough neighborhoods with $5M houses, but he can definately hook you up on the bling y0! :D

Should be there early A.M. on Saturday. Will be driving up from South Monterey County with a Son-In-Law & a few friends. Will ColdWar be there? Need a RRA bolt&carrier. I hope MilWal will have a better selection of reloading componets!

Legally, Yes. Illegally and IGGY's cousins will be on your ***. You have to check it in at the front door.

Call Crossroad of the West to double check.

But no shipping at the show. I think it's pretty close to break even unless you're just buying a few boxes here and there.

...I know, I know - no guns. I usually go for the ammo & accessories anyway...Huh? I haven't been to this show for about 1.5 years.

Have they outlawed the sale of firearms at the show?

Say it ain't so!!!

Anyway, I'm planning on being there, looking for Winchester Ranger or SXT, Miwall bulk 9mm ammo, and good prices on CCI MiniMags.

For those going early, give us a shout when you get home and let us know how it looks. As much as I want to support the idea, the last one was simply abysmal. I wanna show support but dang... enough with the jerky and random weird crap already.

A Johnson for $6000, 2 SVT-40's for $1100 & $1400, a bunch of way over priced Mosin's (you could buy 3 at Big 5 for the price of one at the show) and lot's of people walking out with dolly's full of ammo.

There was definitely a bigger turnout for this show than the last. Plus, I was able to renew my NRA membership, less $10, included was free admission.

Miwall and cold war shooters were worth checking out... other tables with guns were very overpriced IMO. picked up velcroed holsters for inside of safe door... bought extra so now i need to buy more handguns :D

wore my calguns t shirt hoping to meet one some of you to no avail. was gone got there early and was gone by 1. not big enough to stay any longer.

Got me some ammo.

.308, 30-06, .38spl, & .17HMR -
Saw a couple of nice S&W's, Colt's, & BHP's, pretty pricey tho.
Also saw a very nice CZ452 American, in .17HMR, with a Bushnell Elite 4200 6-24X40 scope, for $325 - very good deal.
The 10/22 guy wasn't there. I was looking for a Volquartsen trigger kit, for my MKII. Oh well.

"CWS was there this time? maybe I should go tomorrow; someone said they had PSL's as well; anyone happen to look at them? see the price etc?"

CWS was there, large table with AR uppers, AR/AK lowers, Wasr 1 and 2's, Saigas and M1a's..Did not see a PSL..

Saw Tokarev pistol mags for $4.95, got all five. Also got 4 boxes (20 each) of 1986 Radway Green 308 for $40.

Also stopped at the large Ron Paul booth and got some swag..

After buying the new gunsafe & another S&W, Wifey said, "No damn way". I even tried to explain that the scope was worth more than the asking price.
Can't tell 'em nothing.

Bruce,

You are starting to sound like the wife when she explains that by buying that new dress or new shoes that the family actually saved money because it was on sell then go into great detail how our family is $250 more wealthy due to her keen buying sense in saving all that money by buying the stuff on sale.

I on the other hand think if you did not spend that $500 on all that junk that the family would be $500 more wealthy and that this money could be put to better use like the family buying ammo, as that seems to have been a great investment over the last 5 years with a better return than the stock market. I think only google stock has done better for an ivestment during this same time period.:D

I'm trying to keep her in a positive frame of mind.

For when I drop the reloading question on her - the past vs. current cost of ammo being the chief justification.

That being said - she (hopefully) won't know the difference between a Rockchucker & a Dillon Progressive set-up w/ all the accessories. Roll your own at 1rd. per second, I can dig that.

I worked the show at a Walnut Creek gunshop both. It was a fairly steady day. Met some nice folks and CH47gunner introduced himself. Nice guy, even in person!:)
Better show than the past couple years. At least we can gather and share our interests.

One of the better shows..I had a list of stuff to look for, but only stayed an hour before my baby daughter got cranky.

Still managed to pick up an ARMS #18 mount and #22 rings, though:D
