Looks really cool. :p I am sure it's illegal in PRK though. :(

Also wondering why no such setup for AK or AR

Well duh, it's got an open mag well and pistol grip.

As far as bullpup ARs, the closest I've seen is a Bushmaster, I think it's the M177 .

Not sure of the model numbers, but I know of a number of bullpup AKs, mostly Chinese made.

Regardless of what kind of SKS, it's gonna be a generic AW since it has separate pistol grip and detachable mag.

Why does no one do this with ARs/AKs? I think these have been tried for AKs and Mini14s.

Many if not most bullpup conversions have sucky triggers due to extended linkage.

Maybe using the original mag will make this okay to DOJ?

If it was a fixed 10rd mag, yes.

But the question is, "why?" SKSes work just fine with their stocks - I think many of us see this mod as a step downward in usability.

"TAPCO - if we can bubba your gun, we will".

Forget that, look at this from the same website:

I have to ask myself how comfortable is it to get up and turn every page.

Would this be legal if the pistol grip was instead replaced with something like the MMG, or would that still extend too far below the action?

Now that would be a "what's the point?"

Why not go further and ask about the point of any AR with a MMG?

I am not sure if somebody will buy it.
It will be weird gun - bullpup with front MMG and detached clip :D

Of course. I don't even have an SKS, I'm just asking hypothetically.

Anything I can think of that can legally stick it to CA law makes me happy.

Good question. The difference as far as I see it, is that a rifle in this configuration would be less ergonomic than an A2/MMG equipped AR, since you wouldn't have the magwell to hold with your offhand. Then again, I only held my first MMG equipped AR yesterday, so maybe I'm imagining it would be more necessary to have an offhand grip than it really is.

My go to say "What's the point?" Not at that price!
It's $490.00 shipped for the stock and trigger linkage (SKS not included). Also at that price, it does not include the optics or the magazine.

What about the overall length?

What about the overall length?

"Barrel: 16 1/4, Overall: 27, Weight: 7 lbs. (w/o magazine)."

so i guess it needs a stock extension or a long muzzle brake

i actually like this better than the bullpup sks. lol

I don't know about anyone else but doing anything to an SKS that triples the actual acquisition price seems kinda stupid.
It isn't an assault rifle.
It isn't a sniper rifle.
It isn't a tactical rifle,whatever that is.
It is a bare bones tool that is rock reliable until you jack around with it.
They aren't bad in the accuracy department either...if you do your part.
You could have three Yugo rifles just for the cost of this stock.

I completly agree. $475 and additional money for SKS and scope
It is just waste your money

The chinese bullpups are pretty collectable too bad we can't buy them here now. Ukraine makes one called the vepr that looks pretty good. http://world.guns.ru/assault/as68-e.htm
I saw this video a long time ago. It has a insurgent bullpup that is homemade. It looks solid/reliable but ugly. I'm still not sure what the silver hook is under the scope. It looks like it keeps the bolt closed so it does not eject like a bolt action.

Hell, I'd consider one with a bullet button if I had some spare cash, but only with a fake suppressor.

The rocker mag in bullpup configuration has got to be kind of awkward though.
