Poor AK never saw it coming. :(

I love how a 7.62x39 is an "AK shell casing."

If they found a 45cal casing, I guess it would have been a Tommygun that was slain.

But aren't AKs only used to kill as many people as possible in the shortest time possible? Because if that's the case, what difference does it make whether this single victim was killed with an AK or a .22lr revolver?

Yeah, the title is pretty stupid (no new news there), but(technically) it didn't say "AK47 shell casing," but rather "shell casing from the AK47." The witnesses identified the rifle as an "AK-47", so the "shell casing" left behind WAS obviously from the weapon that was I.D.'d. Not trying to pick apart, But from OP's title, I thought I was going to be reading something horribly butchered & inaccurate by the writer of article.

I wonder how the BG got the weapon?

I think, that simple question should be the focus... not the weapon...

Don't a number of rifles use the 7.62 X .39 cartridge?

Does that mean that a .44 would be a Dirty Harry round?

I saw that this morning as I was leaving my hotel. guess I should have processed my florida permit faster than I am and been carrying while I am visiting this fine state.

I like the area though.....reminds me of a mix between Illinois and California, without the communist laws.

Police will not release exactly what type of rifle was used.

and they're saying it's an AK-47 because....?

if you watch the video in there it's full of all sorts of things. For instance the cop says they "believe" it's an AK. Meaning: they don't know what it is. Then they talk about how scary an AK is: "it'll go through vests, it'll go through car doors..."

nevermind the fact that a 9mm will go through a car door...
