How can I completely remove old bluing so I can redo it? I have an old AK gas tube that needs some love.

Muriatic acid (HCL) will remove bluing.

Toilet bowl cleaner works pretty damn good, the good kind, the gel that uses acid. It's what I've used in the past.

I usually just give the item a quick bath in Muriatic acid. I also use it for a parkerizing pre-bath.

Does it have to be human blood?

Or some beef blood will do?

I am semi serious about this question.
