Cody still won even after killing all his hostages. 100 yard 8 ball, 100 yard mover prone, 100 yard mover sitting, 100 yard standing, 375 yard KYL, various steel from 200 to 500 meters, and 500 meters prone.
Thanks to all that made it.

few notes, this match is very well rounded match. you will definitely know what you need to work on after this match.

we went prone, off hand, and sitting positions.

there were multiple moving targets stages, hostages, etc.

alot of great shooters at this match, and competition was stiff.

i had a great time, and the most important thing to have in a match is to have fun.

i myself will not be competing for a few months. i will be rearranging my priorities within the end of the year and concentrate on my family. i am not giving up shooting, but will do alot less of it.

congrats to all the winners, and shooters!

shooting has always been just for fun for me. i don't try to take it too competively, it defeats the whole purpose for me. i just need to spend more time with my family, and spend my time where it's needed more. i'm probably going to just shoot real local like at APS and Angeles. i'll probably start competing again like in march or april to lead up to the SCPRC match in the summer.

I hear ya'. Taking these things too seriously, and being overly competitive makes for some cranky, unfriendly competitors. We've all seen it.

I think its great that your fam came with you to Vegas and you had some time to spend with them. For me, shooting these things is something I really enjoy, and having my family along would be icing on the cake.

I try to involve them as much as possible...

Had a great time at the match with you guys. Definitely had fun and learned a lot. Sure I got my butt handed to me.. but what better way to learn! Wish we understood the scoring criteria better.. but in the end.. it was about shooting fast AND accurately with no particular preference for either which was new to me.

No matches for Peter till the 2nd quarter of next year? You'll still come out for the day trips to do some long range in the desert, right? Na.. do what you got to do.. we all have our priorities/ responsibilities.. but when you want punch some paper or clang some steel.. you know i'll be down for it.

Sounds like y'all has a blast. I was thinking about ya as I was doing my Johnny Cash impression - "I walk the line"

Maybe next year I'll actually get to couple of Kurt's matches - hell he's been to enough of mine guess its time I "get 'er done"

Wanna carpool?

Swing by Tehachapi and pick me up!

Hope to have at least one of the new rifles by then. Having a brake really helps in the timed stuff.

If I can make it the whole fam would have to go so they can visit family while I am shooting.

If I end up shooting more matches by then I may head out there. I have a brand new FX-35 with plenty of storage space :)
