We are finishing up the new backstop and target system.

We have 6 lanes up and running and should have the rest going by sunday!

We have gone with the crushed rubber and now allow all types of ammo, the FMJ restriction is GONE!

Rifles are still a no go as they are too loud and the ceiling and walls are not rated for rifle calibers.

Its still a bit of a mess at the range since we are not 100% done, but come on by and see whats going on.

Thanks, i put the name of the range in the title.

As far as slugs and 00, they havent decided yet. The buck should be good to go, the slugs are still being decided on as it seems to throw the rubber everywhere.

The range is still only out to 50ft. But to be honest, i rarely see anyone that can take advantage of even the 50ft mark. 99% of the shooters dont even go past 25ft.

Well... I have seen Brea PD with their G36K rifles in there, so I know the backstop can handle it...;)

I was there yesterday with my dad giving a couple rental pistols a try. I shot some .357 mag and some .45. After we left, I happened to look down at my arm... it was covered in little black flecks! I think the rounds I was shooting, particularly the .357, were sending bits of rubber flying back at me.

Brea uses frangible ammo when qualifying with their g36's

The black flecks are gun powder residue. I have shot 00 from 20 feet away and no rubber has gotten on me.

Oh. That's never happened to me before. :D
