So I recently acquired a Remington 870 Express Magnum, I installed a +2 factory extension, and I want to install a side saddle, however the factory forend when pulled down partially covers the receiver and will hit the side saddle if I install it, also the pistol grip makes it very difficult to depress the action bar lock without moving my hand. I was wondering if they make extended action bar locks and if so which you would recommend. Also I was wondering if this forend is short enough so that I can install my side saddle, is there a way to know if the forend will extend into the receiver I haven't really seen any that said "short" or anything.

You can just cut your factory forend to fit.
Yes, the link to the forend that you provided is short enough.

Or if you decide you want a light the Surefire forend is short. It's made so that it won't crash into your side saddle.

That's actually a really good idea, lol I didn't think about that.

Be careful after you cut it. One of the reasons for the forend covering the receiver is so that you can't pinch yourself when racking the action. If you are used to the longer forend, watch yourself the first few times you use your gun.
Tank's has a wider version, but I have no idea if it would be better for you

I believe in the “karma” thing. I just install a Surefire Light forearm on my 870. I’ll send you my old factory wood one that I cut down & refinished. It looks great & should solve your problem just fine. No need to mess with your action bars. PM me with your address. I’ll mail it out tomorrow! :)
