An article on the CTD blog site entitled "Will You Turn Over Your Guns?". It gives a quick synopsis of the looming gun laws in various states and asks the question if you will comply if/when the time comes. They encourage readers to post their thoughts in the comment section.

Well, we know CTD will give up their guns. They'll abandon the shooting community at the drop of any hat, that's been proven.

Immediately after Sandy Hook, CTD discontinued gun sales and hiked up prices of Pmags to $100 or something ridiculous. This was before any panic hit home, but they folded like Dick's Sporting Goods and gouged to the point Magpul had to put out a statement for damage control. People went ape**** on the CTD Facebook page, making some some of the most hilarious FB trolling ever.

CTD pulled one of the worst customer goatf-ck betrayals in the history of gun vendors.

They're really asking, "Do you have enough ammo?" then showing, "Hey: we have some."

if you use gmail as your primary email, which everyone in the world should be doing, all you have to do is his unsubscribe at the bottom of the email or mark it as spam and anything that comes in from them will instantly go to spam folder

gmail = government email
Google/Google Chrome = government provider

I wouldn't use Google for anything if you want to stay somewhat private.

Agreed. I've been slowly weaning myself off of Google products for a while now. I don't even use Google for web searches anymore. In terms of privacy they're in the same ballpark as AOL, i.e. terrible.

A better question is "When will they stop treating California like 2nd class citizens?"

No wait, "When will they stop gouging customers by trying to sell a box of 50, 9mm FMJ for $70 just because they think some idiot will pay that much?

Screw CTD!

You're joking right? Or have you not heard of the dozens of cases that have been brought against them for privacy violations. They are absolute big government Obama administration hacks...or is it that the Obama administration is a bunch of Google hacks? Hard to know anymore who is actually calling the shots...

If you want a Chrome style browser without the spyware try Iron. They recompile Chrome and leave out all the bits that report back. Check here http://www.srware.net/en/software_srware_iron.php

Also use Startpage.com as search engine rather than google

Look at the CAN-SPAM (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CAN-SPAM_Act_of_2003)law for some help.

I know that ctd gets alot of crap here. And I am sure it is well derserved, they did run a promo for life membership to the NRA for 300, that I took advantage of.

I would be intersted to know if they donated any money for people that signed up with this deal. My guess is that they did not, but just used their marketing resources to get the word out. Either way, I appreciate that.

Here is the link, its good till mid april

This is a big fight, should we be so picky who our allies are?
And really, who can complain about gouging? Supply and demand is the backbone of capitilism.

If you're REALLY serious about web security, you're going to need an encrypted linux machine, a VPN, and a shell. Anything else is pretty much 100% useless. This is not tinfoil hattery, it is simply a good understanding of how data collection works.

perhaps, but it is also a great case of "short terminism", as was evident at the CM gun show, people are waking up to the fact that being ripped off is not clever, or funny. This does however leave the market wide open for those dealers who do not gouge and treat their customers appropriately

That's how a free market economy works.

You got that right! This household will not make another purchase from ANY company that jumps on the media bandwagon trying to get their FREE 15 minutes of fame. The way I see it, any company that sold firearms and now stops because of the recent Sandy Hook shooting, is using the deaths of these children to get their companies name in the media. They should hang their heads in shame.

To effectively stop SPAM, with great results, I've used this site's method numerous times: http://danhatesspam.com/

"The endless pitches to refinance my mortgage (which I don’t have) or get university degrees (of which I already have three) or buy counterfeit software or enlarge certain body parts… not to mention the porn… are offensive and, in many states, like California, illegal."
