View Full Version : Biden Officially Reveals Agenda! War against 2-A

Looks like the Dems. are ready to dig in for the long haul. Seems a little dumb for him to blatantly show they are not going to compromise but, are going to make this a war of attrition. It looks like things are going to get worse before they get better. This administration does not take NO for an answer very well. They are going to continue to push until they get their way. I have the horrible feeling that this is going to get really ugly. Maybe all of the guys with tin foil hats on were right this time.

In the article it appears Biden has forgotten about the House. He talks about 100 senators but mentions nothing about 435 members of the House that will have to pass any of their anti-gun legislation.

And he is the VP? WTF? I don't have warm fuzzy feelings about the course this country is taking.

your my boy blue! lol

but like you said, this guy is just flat out dumb. i don't like to insult people, but you can't help it with a person who advocates/gives advice doing dangerous and illegal things with firearms. especially when he argues that shotguns are easier to handle than an AR.

Their goal is to find a spokesman for their side that appeals to the stupid.

Guess they found the right guy...

"The American people are way ahead of their political leaders," Biden argued. "And we, the president and I and the mayors, intend to stay current with the American people."

Funny how the comments average around 2% pro gun control in these articles

Joe Biden may be our best defense against Hillary. If he is the 2016 Democratic nominee and if the Republicans don't self destruct, we could keep potentially keep Hillary from running till 2024.

By that time, Bill will be an "old man" whose ablility to campaign for her will be very limited. She probably won't be in such great shape herself.

Nothing new here. Tough talk before Reid decided to exclude AWB is different than the tough talk now - there is very little credibility if Biden cannot get his party even to get the vote that the President promised, let alone pass what the President wanted.

Well, then, I guess there is ONE good thing about being in the PRK. Everyone can vote in the Democratic primary, right? So, what we need to do is mount a massive push to get Biden nominated as the Dem's choice for POTUS.

I know this is a GOP echo chamber so you all misinterpreting the message from Obama's court jester. I'll translate for you..

"Well, the gun control bill is a complete loser in the senate and looks DOA in the house. We tried to take all the scary guns away but the meanies in the NRA and GOP wouldn't let us. Please keep giving us money. Hope and change".

You see Joe's comments weren't meant for you. He is trying to re-assure the gun grabbing crowd that something is going to happen at the federal level when everyone knows they aren't getting a damn thing. No AWB, no magazine limits, no universal background checks, nothing. Obama promises a lot of things that he can't possibly deliver on and when that doesn't pan out having the VP give a press conference doesn't cost anything.

Don't get me wrong, we are still boned at the state level though.

They're stalling for time.

So, you might wonder what the White House is waiting for.

Two things. The "Plan B" is to keep gun control in the topical view until 2014, when the Democrats pick up the House of Representatives by casting the GOP as a bunch of obstructionist douchebags.

"Plan A" is for some hidden Martin Bryant to pull an American Port Arthur massacre, whereupon Obama and co will say that if only the AWB were law, dozens of victims would still be alive. If this happens, the sheeple will demand Congress burn the 2nd Amendment, and Obama will happily oblige. May God have mercy on our Rights if this happens.

I hope you're right. I'm just noticing that in rural NC, I never see pickups with gun racks any more. People panic over the sight of a gun more. Everyone says less households have a gun, just more people buying (though I don't know how many people would be honest in such a survey). The "mood" sure seems to be a lot more anti-gun than it used to, unscientific as that is.

The demographics have changed since the mid 90s.

Gallup adjusted the 2012 election results based on demographics of 1994 voters, and found that had the 2012 election took place in the mid-90s Romney would have won instead of Obama.

What's changing is that more women and ethnic voters are participating in the voting process. Those categories of voters are typically anti-gun, with some exceptions. The conservative men of all races who support gun rights are being out-numbered by the women and the minorities biased for gun control.

As such, its a matter of time before our ballots-and our gun laws- look like that of western Europe's. Notice there is no analogue to the GOP in that part of the world as an electable party, because the voting choices are far left vs very rabidly insanely crazy far far left.

When a pol, like the Pres and V.Pres, uses emotion to try and sway voters, you know he or she has a weak case. Emotion is a values based premise, the weakest of the three types of premises.

When an arguer drops down into emotion, you know he or she will lose.

You're both right. Compared to the 90s, the country is more liberal (unfortunately), but also more pro-gun. Think about that.

Instead of Mayors Against Illegal Guns (MAIG), they should change the name to Mayors For Gun Control Regulations (MFGCRs). I would love to see how the press pronounce the acronym.

The antis game is to make the NRA instead of the 2nd Amdt the target in the eyes of the public because it is much easier to attack the NRA than the Const. Conversely, we need to keep the focus on the 2nd Amdt and Const. and show pictures of the Const. and 2nd Amdt every time they attempt to limit rights. Instead of Obama/Bloomberg/DiFi/Biden et al v. NRA it really should be an actual picture of them v. Const. To highlight hypocrisy, they should show their tendencies on other Amdts when it comes to safety of children. Whether you agree with it or not, exclusionary rule doesn't protect children from child predators or murders or drug dealers (aka unlicensed pharmacists) and it should also be noted that exclusionary rule generally applies to people actually caught red handed (though improperly). They also need to be shown against pictures of women, children, men, property that were saved by ownership of guns both currently and historically. Also they should be shown with regular folk who happen to own or use the weapons they want to outlaw behind bars... Yes, they want to lock up firearm enthusiast Karen, or Hunter Bob, or single mother down the street who is doing nothing more than trying, repeat trying to protect themselves or exercise their second amendment rights... What lengths do the antis go to protect child molestors, porn, drug dealers, voter id, border patrol, you name it, etc... v. average joe gun owner. The point is NOT to decry other rights retained by the people, but to show the priorities and flippant attitude of the antis when juxtaposed against the Const.

He/they only care about the Senate because the Dems still control it. If it can't pass with a Dem majority it makes the Pres. look weak. But, if they can pass it in the Senate and the House kills it instead....hey look at all those mean, selfish, insensitive, baby killing, Republicans.

See, it's all about the gamesmanship.
