Media plays a large part.
It promotes and protects Obama, with Vietnam and Watergate it denigrated and attacked Nixon.

Most of the people who fervently opposed Bush's illegal programs are unwilling to criticize Obama for continuing and vastly expanding Bush's programs.

They supported Obama and they are incapable of admitting a mistake by criticizing their dear leader. If they blame anyone it'll be Congress, and they'll say Obama's hands are tied, or we're liars for criticizing him.

The remaining defenders of freedom and limited government powers are guys like Senators Paul and Cruz. Sad, really.

IMO, the best line in the piece: "Somewhere, Nixon must be wondering how it could have been this easy."

All one has to do is look to the Mainstream Media.

Let's not forget Obama had a lot of help from several other predecessors (from both political parties).

Both Nixon and Obama had/have enemies lists, but the difference is that Obama gets to cross names off of his.
