That was my first thought, between the caliber and the aztec warrior on the grips you can pretty much guess where this came from.

That is an Aztec eagle warrior. They were the leaders of Mexico and separated from the Aztecs. They were said to have had the hearts of eagles. They were the fiercest of warriors at that time. When the rest of the world was still in relative disarray the Aztecs had a calendar, a star chart, a monetary system, a sewage system, a hierarchy, complete with bad politicians. Too bad they were blood thirsty pagans.

Think they used Aztec gold for that colt :chris:

Until I saw the Aztec logos, I was wondering if the seller was located in Glendale.

(yea I know I stole the joke, but I am paying my respects to the original)

...When the rest of the world was still in relative disarray...

While a romantic notion, there are a few other civilizations that can also lay claim to this... if not maybe even earlier.

If this is in 24K gold - then should be no recoil... must be heavy like a break... :p

hmm. it seems bad *** to me. i'd rock that. well, minus the aztec god, but if it was something else, that would be pretty neat.

I'm not a fan of the movie swords and knives that are crap people try to sell and this reminds me of that.

Hey, there's an idea for a limited edition collectible issue! Does the world really need another John Wayne Tribute Gun? Let's think outside the box here!

If this is in 24K gold - then should be no recoil... must be heavy like a break...

The ad says "THE GRIPS ARE SOLID GERMAN SILVER 24 KARAT GOLD PLATED". German silver is just a copper and nickel alloy that looks like silver, but has no precious metals. It's harder than either gold or silver, so will last longer in use, but if you actually shot this gun, the gold plating would wear off fairly quickly.

It appears the primary value is in the engraving work, not in the metals or gemstones, which aren't really very valuable.

Weren't they the first to hold the gun horizontally?

There might be one CG member (who wants to use rubies and diamonds as 3-dot sights) scorching his shorts over that steaming pile. :p

Man...I wouldn't be caught dead in an Escalade with that thing.
