...handgun in the last couple days?

I wasn't even in the market for another 1911, but I picked up a Springer Loaded yesterday just because I was in a p-oed mood (and buying a new gun is never not fun regardless of your mood:43:).

Next month, it will probably be another plasto-matic (possibly another XD or I may step tenuously into glockland).

Also on the list:

CZ-97
High-end 1911
Ruger MkIII
Whatever the hell else.
Maybe something in 40 cal.

I was saving up for a rifle, but my gun budget is going into handguns for awhile.

At least I'll be helping keep manufacturers interested in this kooky state. Arny, I fart in your general direction.

can't believe I watched Terminator 2 last week. grrrrrrrrrr.:(

Anyway, loosely handgun-relevant rant over. Who wants pie?

Not yet, I am still working on my 30day/gun deficit :)
I will have to increase my budget to improve my collection though.
It's funny that all the gun-control laws actually caused me to buy more guns.

Just renewed my HSC today, 29/30 woohoo. I have yet to get a perfect score, but oh well. Will definitely be buying one this Saturday. Choosing between an XD-45 5" or Glock 35. I'm leaning towards the 45ACP but damn ammo is a bit more expensive though.

My HSC test was perfect.:D I want either a GLOCK 26 or 1911 of some sort next. I almost had the funds too when I got a decent(to my standards) bonus, but I need to pay off my son's not covered doctor bill for nose surgery he got from being randomly attacked by another kid.:( Bye bye bonus and new gun for now.

I think I screwed up on the question about the brother/sister requiring FFL transfer question. I sat on that question for about a minute and must have read it like 5 times. :o

Thinking of picking up a Glock 30 that Turners has on sale as a FU Arnie gun. Just not sure I want to part with the dough right now (be almost $650 OTD)

Update: I bought it.
Up yours, Arnie, Sarah and all socialist a-holes!
My Arnie DVDs/tapes will be the first targets.

:patriot:
:D

PS. I'm typically skeptical of Turners, but the sales guy was friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and knew about AB1471 & AB821. He even agreed they do way too much extra paperwork for gun sales, lol.

I'm picking up a couple this month... scary ones. :D

Really?

On the HSC, I just checked off everything I knew without even thinking as fast as possible then just picked quick on the rest. I missed 1. I think it's more appropriate to call it a literacy test... or reading comprehension.

Glock is to HK as Sig is to ______?

Picked up a Glock 30, and have the Glock 21 sitting in the FFL safe for the next 30 days.

After that it will be another Glock 19 and then maybe a 26.

Just started a dros on a Glock 21 that I'm going to convert to 10mm and 9x25mm Dillon once Lone Wolf Distributors starts producing their after market slides. Take that AB-1471:D BTW City Arms had me in and out within 15 minutes, nice.

Having lived in CA for awhile, I have seen this before - the effect of a new gun control law causing an increase in buying before the law takes effect.

One event I remember in particular was in 1999, when the CA 10 round magazine limit was passed and would take effect on Jan. 1, 2000. Everybody started buying all the higher capacity magazines they could afford before Jan. 1. People even bought magazines for guns they didn't own yet, hoping to buy the gun itself later.

I went to the Del Mar Gun Show in December 1999 and half the tables were piled high with large capacity magazines. I think every gun vendor in Arizona and Nevada had come to Del Mar with his entire inventory, hoping to unload it on the desperate CA gun owners. I was there with everybody else, money in hand, looking for the soon to be outlawed 10+ capacity magazines.

Yes. I remember a friend who was in the business back then of selling mags and knives, getting $185 per 229 12 rnd mags and around $100 each for hi-caps for Glocks and other Sigs.

I ordered a Wilson Combat Professional through my local dealer. In six to eight weeks I'll have yet another .45 ACP - but I'm not through yet. I intend to round out the collection with one of those Gunsite .45's from Smith & Wesson.

Geez, and I thought I was an idiot for paying $100 for a couple of Sig 229 12 rounders. I would not have paid more than that, which is why I only have a few of them.

Alas, I spend so much time looking for those, I only bought a couple dozen other things and not the huge pile I wish I had now.

Aight, I couldn't wait till the weekend so I just DROSed an XD-45 Tactical this afternoon. I wish there was no 10 days waiting so I could use it for this Saturdays match at Chabot. I guess the USP will see it's final match this weekend. ;)

As far as the XD-45, that thing felt so good on my hands. I thought it would feel fat due to double stack 45s but it fits me perfectly like my speedos (tight & comfy). :)

Got a CPO P220ST on it's way from TNG Hardware in TX right now. Meeting up w/ a guy to PPT a G34 on Tuesday. And I'll be picking up a complete Cavarms AR lower here soon.

My safe was looking a little empty. It's nice being single sometimes.
