I know we can't buy online, but can an out of state family member mail you ammo as a gift?

I live in Wilton, which is in Sacramento County, and I purchase ammo all the time online from NC.

Yes If your address is sac you can't get ammo by mail. I live in Carmichael, 1/4mi from the Sacramento border. I can get it, they can't.

My mailing address says citrus heights, its good to go! Even cheaper then dirt sent me ammo a while back....

If I try and ship ammo to my work with a Sacramento mailing address, then its restricted.

What is you mailing address city ?

Some vendors just want to play "CYA" to be safe. If those vendors are willing to pass up perfectly legal sales to placate their fears, then that's their choice. Take a look at "Sportsman's Guide" - they are so scared they won't even ship a wrench (for an AR-15 barrel) to this "state".

There are plenty of ammo dealers who are willing to make legal sales, and I go out of my way to support them. I buy ALL of my ammo outside the City of Sacramento because I don't want to deal with needless paperwork and I also want to deprive the city of the taxes they would have collected. I look at it as "voting with my wallet".
