Folks,

Like many of us, I am stunned and angry that the gutless governor (girlieman), has passed the Microstamping Bill. He has betrayed those that have voted for him believing that he would bring about change.
He is a flab, a hack that has betrayed his conservative roots and sold himself to the Hollywood liberal element. He joints the ranks, of the liberal scumbags, the Fineswines, the Boxlickers, Leno, Nunez, Ridley-Thomas. He joins the Pantheon of Socialist, limpwristed, emptyheaded Hollywood monied elite.
Again, like many of us here, I would like to leave this $%ucked up state, leave it to the sh*#tbag liberals, the illegal aliens, and those that would like our state to become a nice big play ground, where everybody gets along and we all will love each other. Where there our no guns of any kind, where you just call the police, and you wait the 45 minutes till they arrive, and hold the guy breaking your door down at bay. But I have no re-course, I must stay.
All we can do is fight *******s like the forementioned, fight them through the NRA, Arnie the liberal poster boy, will feel it at the ballot box. He has done what Gay Davis did and broken all his promises. There must be something that we can do, at the Federal level that can block this bullsh**, Interstate Commerce , at any rate we must re-group and fight this bullshi**.
Any Way, Rant over, USMCM16A2

I love the maturity of this post. It sure makes the rest of us look like responsible adults, now doesn't it?

This kinda post is why democrats steer away from gunowners/gun issues.

We could get more friends there if we didn't bash other folks quite so harshly.

Who is forcing you to stay in this state? Last time I checked, it was a choice.

My wife and kids. In order to leave this state I pretty much have to risk a divorce. At the moment, my unhappiness over CA's firearm laws isn't so great that I'm willing to risk a divorce to do something about it.

I'm guessing eta34 is single. So just for the record, most of us have responsibilities that go beyond getting dressed in the morning and making it to work. There was once a time when I was free to come and go as I pleased. But then I got married and had kids, and things got a LOT more complicated.

See how that works?

i believe, in my humble opinion, that what era34 is saying is that blaming the state for it's current gun laws is pointless. OUR politicians make the laws and WE elected them maybe not us, but WE as the citizens of California. all he is saying is that if someone feels things a SOOOOOO bad that this state is incompatible with their ability to live, they can relocate... i understand your point in stating that you have other responsibilities like job, family, etc and therefore the good out weighs the bad and you should stay... in fact i'm glad more people like you stay here, so we can vote the politicians that will represent our interest...

Glad to say that I never endorsed him or voted for him, what was that about him being a stealth candidate?

Like the saying goes, your still voting for the lesser evil.

I was born and raised here.
My father is buried here.
My grandson is buried here.
My elderly and sickly mother lives here.
My children live here.
My grandchildren live here.
My job is here.
My wife's job is here.

Need any more reasons?

I will not desert my home and family. I will stay and fight.

I'll tell you what it means. CA makes gun manufacturers implement faulty, unproven technology. Majority of semi-auto pistols say, "no thanks." CA says no semi-autos in the state w/out it. No more semi-auto pistols for CA.

Yah, I love it when people just say, "move out" as if it were as easy as 1-2-3.

Actually, I am married (9 years) and have two children. I have been in the same profession for the last 9 years as well. I own a home, and my wife is a teacher who really loves her school. Nothing is forcing me to live here, much like you. We all choose to live here whether you like it or not.

The fact is, you have to decide what you are willing to put up with. For some, like me, the firearm laws of this state are ridiculous. However, there are many other things about this state that I love, so I CHOOSE to stay. I could go to another state, find another job, find a new home, etc. That is a choice.

I stand by what I said; you choose to stay here.

I appreciate this attitude. I have never implied that it is an easy decision to leave CA. We have to look at what is important to us. Clearly, your family is more important to you than your disdain for CA gun laws. I agree with you in that regard. Staying and fighting is the best course of action, in my opinion.

Leaving would be an extremely difficult decision. I just get tired of those people who are professional victims and say they are "forced" to stay here.
