Are there any indoor ranges in the Los Angeles area that you can fire the .454 Casull or 460 S& W? I went to Insight Range the other night & b4 shooting I asked about loads & they said any pistol caliber o.k. as long as not lead bullets. Shot off 4 rounds & they came over & said what is that & only up to .44 mag. The muzzle blast was pretty severe as pieces of their ceiling insulation was coming down every time I fired.

LAX Range lets shotguns and rifles onto the lanes (if you buy their ammo) - people shoot their 500 S&W sometimes. Crap falls off the ceiling when 12ga or rifles are fired though - they just don't care at that range though...

On-Target in Laguna Niguel allows (and has for rent) guns up to .500 S&W. Might be a bit of a drive for you though.

I don't like being inside when someone is shooting one of those things though. The hearing loss is palpable.

LAX Range definitely does. I shoot mine there. They allow .500, .460, 454, slugs, etc...

The indoor ranges usually allow the 500 and 460 but you have to buy their ammo because they use light loads. They don't want you destroying their backstops.
