I recently took off the safety selector on my WASR and the retaining wire came off. I tried putting it back in but not sure if this is the way it went.

Does anyone have any pics of how it should look or could tell me if this is right?

It doesn't hook around the pin. The part that looks like a crook will be touching underneath that pin. It should add tension and hold the other pins in. Hopefully this pic is better.

Cool. It needs the tensions so as to hold the other pins in. If not the pins could work out while firing. Glad it helped.
