nothing special 1931 TULA hex. no counter bore and all matching. shinny bore.
gave up on turners and big 5. as far as i can tell they will be out of the mosin business. i sold so many of my mosins in the last 6 months that i was down to my 1955 romanian M-44 and my sniper. not a single regular 91-30. i think 250 is the new normal RETAIL. so us retail mosin buyers will now need a gun store, pawn shop or private party.
i could have bought a 1926 ex dragoon tula for the same price. i am into quality more the collect ability
i think we are now at the 400 dollar mark for a gun rack Mosin Nagant. i gladly paid 250 OTD for what i wanted.

Nice pickup! That looks like a clean one.

$400 for a rack mosin? Crazy. Heck I would sell mine at that price.

Its another one of the 64 million produced, slightly rarer then the other 64 million.

to the OP I think it's just a waiting game right now until prices drop back down. $250 is a little rich for me but you can gladly pay whatever you like for yours. I still have 1 or 3 of my " Big 5 " specials hanging around since I have not sold them all. I picked up a '37 Tula PE Ex-Sniper at the first of the year for $126 to my door ... gotta love that ffl 03 for a little while still at least.

I just paid that much for one, but it came with a spam can of ammo.

I want you to feel good about yourself, and don't want to touch you, so I agree.

I remember picking up a M44 Izhevsk, spam can and a bunch of non-corrosive ammo from a fellow Calgunner for $250. Those were the days.:cool2:

like the one you have, a few nicks that bother me. but the metal and shellac are so nice i just rubbed wd 40 into the wood. it will be my imperfect shooter.

history yes, the one i got is a much nicer looking rifle. i would not trade . but you do have a very cool finn. the wood just turns me off. i had a 1905 TULA that had wood like the one you have and i just never fell in love. traded it for a 1943 ex sniper. not all of us are into details of history.

If you gave me the choice of picking 3 "EX-dragoons" or a Finn M-91, I'd rather have Frank's Finn 91.

Ex-dragoons are a dime a dozen... I'll never understand the fascination.

2 reasons i buy retail, if i had a C&R lic i would be so out of control buying all the time i would get in financial trouble. and the other is i want to see a gun before i buy it. i have been known to pay too much for something i want right now. i do not think i will loose money on this hex tula. i sold a 1928 tula 3 months ago for 300.

I meant a year ago before all this panic madness with the prices going through the roof.

Still... a $45 M44 would be nice.

Reminds me, I picked up an excellent condition Swedish M38 for $130.:D
