I wanted a set.. but i've been buying up too much stuff to justify another $100 :( I should just do it..

What's another $100 in the grand scheme of things?

I've been saying that every step of the way.. but all these little steps add up to a lot REAL fast! Looks like a great product and I've actually been eyeing it for a few weeks now. Its really more of a "want" than a "need" to me.

I just picked up a Karsten cheekpiece, and a JP Recoil Eliminator Randall will be installing for me hopefully this coming tuesday so my next move may be the pod claw for my 700P.. taking it slow. I have a custom 6.5 Grendel rig that my $$$ is being diverted to..

The barrel was a ***** and a half to get off of my 700 SPS.

Going for a tank look :) Gotta love the look of that brake but I bet it is effective.

The brake isn't as big as I thought it would be. That pod claw would look awesome with it if nothing else :) Maybe I'll order one tomorrow!

I may look into investing in a set of these with optional claw and rubber feet.

btw wildcard, who is putting together your 6.5 Grendel rig? What options are you putting into it?

Purchasing the pieces myself and having the upper assembled by "ar15barrels" here. Here's the parts list:

Upper:
Satern Barrel to my specs (19.5 inches, and 8.6 twist for 123 gr Lapua Scenar bullets)
Alexander Arms Bolt
LaRue Gas Block
RRA Receiver and Charging Handle
Bravo Company Carrier
Bennie Cooley/ JP Tactical Compensator
Badger Ordinance Stabilizer Handguard
IOR 10X56 Illuminated Scope
LaRue Scope Base and Rings
Harris Swivel Bipod

Lower:
RRA Receiver
JP Trigger
Magpul 93B
Flat Wire Chrome Silicon Buffer Spring
Enidine Hydraulic Buffer
Stag LPK
CProducts Magazines
ERGO Tactical Deluxe Grip with Palm Shelf

Should be a smooth running rig! I'm just waiting on the barrel.. been waiting 2.5 months and counting! Already have the Lapua brass, powder, and Forster Ultra Micrometer dies. Hmm.. I still need bullets. I also have a box of AA factory loads to chrono and compare to.

cool item, write a review when you get that on your rifle.

I got my podclawz today. PITA to install but once on they are staying put. Looks promising. If they work well this weekend I may get a second set for my 6-9 harris. I put them on my 9-13.

do a range review on the thing, shooting prone in the dirt.

Will do.

You know what, I was monkeying around with the clawz last night and I must say I am impressed. I can definitely see how they will be of benefit to shooting prone on different surfaces. The bipod will stand on its on once the legs are deployed. I also put the rifle in the grass and the claws looked to be a very stable platform. One of the issues I had in Tehachapi was my bipod digging into the ground. This should eliminate that problem completely.

those things are really cool and all but aren't they like $100? yikes

True but after my experience in tehachapi with shooting in real dirt, it should be worth the investment.

I am impressed. The podclawz worked as advertised. I went to Angeles today and was actually happy it rained last night. I figured it the mud would be a good test.

They worked very well. I was able to load the bipod without it sinking into the ground. It made for a very stable platform. I also tried them from the bench and they worked very well. The 6-9 bipod is actually more of a 7-10 with the podclawz installed so it is now a very usable tripod at long distances.

Like when Proraptor told me to check out his knob. He should have added bolt before knob.

I declined.

From my informal test this weekend it is worth the $100. Kinda like m stock. It was expensive but in the end it was worth every penny. I was reading they are going to offer a service to install podclawz and refinish bipods.

I wish I got in on the factory seconds before they made them exclusive to law enforcement and military.
