Ugh. If these become law due to inaction on Arnold's part, I will be more pissed than if he just signed them.

If you haven't contacted the governor please do it NOW. Tell your friends. We can't let this become law.

The Gov is in China until Thursday night, according to the Times.

He has had quite the calendar lately and is likely just now returning from China.

What the hell was he doing in China? It is illegal for states to make treaties with countries.

Governors do that sort of thing all the time. It's officially usually an attempt to improve business investment in the governor's state, although I also sometimes think it's the governor getting a vacation at the tax payer's expense.

Also, Arnold is said to be eyeing one of CA's senatorial seats. If so, being able to show good ties with china, arguably one of our most important business entities given the amount of goods that they ship through CA's ports, is a very wise thing to do.

I'd rather see him doing something like that to promote goodwill than running junkets to odd places like you see the state senators and assemblymen doing.

I'm getting concerned he has or will cut a deal with the Democrats - "Give me the Universal Health Insurance bill I want and I'll sign (or not veto) the gun control bills." I hope not....

With Prez Bush vetoing SCHIP, the chance of a deal between Aahnold and the Dems is getting smaller.
