Interesting article!

Does not attribute any of the drop to "Gun Control", doesn't even mention gun control. It does talk about LE working with the community and being very successful.

Would be nice to get this in front of our elected officials to help discount the Anti's claims on gun control......it would be nice to see DF/Brady etal eat crow!

Anyway, enjoy the read. Seems to be positive without attacking the 2nd Amendment.

Enjoy

The drop in crime in LA must be a result of them keeping norinco AK's and Colt AR's out of the 'wrong hands'

Keep up the good work BOF!!!!

I did a report on gun control and Chicago saw a drop in murder rate a couple years back. It was due to better policing and working with the community.

Adding or removing guns from a society wont necessarily increase or decrease violence since the mere existence of weapons does not cause people to be violent.

I said it hundreds of times, fix the schools and work with the community instead of against it and crime will drop. Looks like they getting the second part now they gotta work on the schools.

Well 50,000+ OLLs have flooded the state and we haven't seen a bloodbath yet either.

Well there you have it. The drop in crime is due to the OLLs :)

I agree.

But try telling that to Tony Villa.

I agree with you. The politician turns to guns when they fail...they have to blame something.

You gun nuts just don't get it! So what if there's a drop in homicides? Banning more guns will only further decrease the homicide rate! It's common sense that no civilian needs a high powered assault weapon that can spray from the hip without reloading to hunt deer!

At least that's what I think Sarah Brady will be saying anytime now.

The drop in crime in L.A. is due to the dirtbags moving to San Bernardino County.

Well, I see this as negotiating with criminals. Criminal behavior needs to be punished. If gang member like gunplay so much, I say round them up, and ship em off to Iraq. Use em to check for IED's, search for landmines, and to run out ahead to draw enemy sniper fire.

Yes folks , we need those penal batallion "volunteers"

Why not it worked for the Russkies and the Jerries !!!

Good idea !!

--------------------------------------------------

Is it just me or with such a small sampling in some of these cases, the reduction (or increase) in any of the above crimes could just be random fluxuations not connected in any way to crime prevention efforts.

And it seems we have a gang Arson and Extortion epidemic based on those stats!!! :D
