Changed my address, how long should I wait...

I recently moved and just changed the address on my driver's license at AAA last wednesday. I have the new change of address card in my wallet, but how long do I have to wait for AAA to get that info to the Sac. DMV so it becomes my official address? I'd like to purchase a new toy but I don't want to get declined because I didn't wait long enough for the info to get passed along.

Btw, what are the ramification to have a DMV Decline on a firearms sale? Would I just have to re-DROS later or would I get red-flagged for some length of time/permanently?

What will you be using as your proof of residence? Your driver's license address does not need to match the address on your proof or residence. The change of address card is fine though not really needed.

Your driver's license is used for identification purposes.

I'll use a phone bill that has the new address on it. So as long as the DOJ doesn't compare addresses to the DMV, I guess it doesn't matter. Great!
