Hey guys,

Ill be going from SF to Cotati to pick up my first 9mm firearm. How has the "scare" affected supplies between SF to Sonoma County?

I am looking to pickup 500-1000 rounds (I'm planning to practice with my new toy as much as I can).

Are there any good places to go within that area atm? What is considered a good price point for that amount of rounds?

Thanks in advance guys!

I purposely took a day off to go up Thursday, the 14th, to pick her up. If that is a day you may be in Oakland we might be able to coordinate.

I think 15.00 a box is great but most people are charging more than that in so cal. Norcal prices are worse I think. Good luck and have fun up there.

Supplies are a crap shoot nowadays. Be it at the local stores, online and, even, on CG gotta be fast to catch the deals. Like migueloo said.. this weekend @ Vallejo will be a gun show. If you don't mind long lines that might be a place to check out. But I'm afraid with the announcement of proposed new gun laws yesterday.. Vallejo will be even more crowded. Good luck with your search!!

No ammo at B2 Enterprises (22LR - 45ACP O.O;).

Sportsman Arms has about 1,200 at $25 a box of independence arm 9mm

Per Twlettuce, Gun Vault in Sunnyvale has 9mm. I called in yesterday and they said that had about 10k of remington umc at 35 for box 100. I'm going tomorrow :)

If your going to Cotati, there's a big5 and Walmart a mile up the road in Rohnert Park. Big5 in Rohnert Park has had 9mm lately but it's over priced, Walmart in Rohnert Park has been a little dry lately but you might get lucky. There's quite a few mom and pop gun stores between SF and Cotati. You can also try Petaluma Big5, Petaluma Guns and Reloading Supplies (they stock a lot of ammo), and there's also Marin firearms in Novato. There's a few more gun stores in Petaluma just do a google search. Good luck and safe shooting.

I'll be selling some of that Remington UMC FMJ 9mm when it comes in at my cost- $25 for a box of 50.

personally i'd shoot myself before paying that much for fmj. ammo will return soon enough, most of the people buying it are just turning it around and selling for 2X price paid and you guys keep buying it. Stop being dumb and prices will improve.

Purpose of this thread is not just personal sales, but the sharing of our sources for ammo :D. Sharing is caring ladies and gentlemen.

Btw, just picked up a case for loptr for $400. 20 a box, still not too bad (20 per box at JA but they ran out O.O;).

Anyone have updates on ammo stock in Bay Area gun shops?

Hey jerk- I guess you missed the part where I said I was selling my personal ammo AT COST. I accidentally bought too much, but was happy to have extra. THEN, I read the thread here of people asking for ammo and I stepped up to sell what I had AT MY COST, no profit in my pocket.

Granted, the price was a little high because of shipping, but I figured I would offer up. In fact, the gas to FTF deliver will lose me money.

Please read the thread and get the whole conversation before coming in here and spouting off. Thank you

I'm not saying anything about your sale price, i'm saying 25$ for 50 rounds of fmj 9mm is too much in general, and that paying these kind of prices is what is keeping the market crazy. Maybe re-read what I wrote before taking it as a personal attack, or if you need to, have someone with good reading comprehension read it to you and explain it for you. Good day and welcome to my ignore list.

Or you could just have a big helping of "Mind your own business". And it seems that you can't understand what "AT COST" means. I'm happy with my ammo, just trying to help out the brothers here.

As ammo availiablity these days is horrible. Get ammo when you can. It might be too expensive for some. Then, again, some folks want to actually get some range time and paying an additional 3-5 dollars per box might be worth it.

There are deals that pops up once and awhile.

As for me, I'd like to actually get some range time rather than looking at a couple of over-priced paper weights.

I'm sure it will cool off soon, just keep recycling your spent brass to help keep the costs down.

Palmetto had 9mm for 15$ yesterday, there is no reason other than stupidity to pay 25$ for it but hey a fool is quickly separated from his money. Personally anything over 12$ for range 9mm is overpriced in my mind.

In fact, here is a thread about it.

Got anything else to say? Yup, didn't think so, but go ahead an pay 25$ for it, I'll even sell you some for that price, and then go buy more for 14.99. I saw it in stock but personally I know it will be available for 11-12 a box soon.

Thank you for getting my back. Like I said earlier, I bought the ammo only for me and not to sell. Yes, it was on the high side, I was just going to bite it and get a positive rating on GunBroker. I had NO intention of selling it here. But since brothers here need ammo, I offered. NO profit to me.

Do you even know what thread crapping is? This isn't a sale thread so I can't be crapping on it, I stated my opinion on the overpriced ammo and cheaper sensible alternatives and how paying crazy prices is what's driving this craziness. Lol you are ridiculous hahah. Blocked you are, tell me all your friends names so I can block them too.
