Who does custom barrels in Cali (socal preferably)?
I've got a sample barrel I need duped in .22LR.
Trid ar15barrels, but got an email back saying they weren't taking any more work for a while.

m24armorer, do you do barrels for 10/22? im interested in a 16" bull/ heavy barrel. nothing fancy, just completely basic. something thickest it can be to fit a hogue stock. thanks

These should be available off-the-shelf.
Maybe the 16" length is the issue.
I have cut down a bunch of 20" bull barrels to 16" for people...

If you have a Hogue stock that fits a bull barrel (.920"), then you don't have to get one specifically turned by a gunsmith. Just get a Volquartsen, Green Mountain, Whistle Pig, Lilja or other barrel by a 3rd party manufacturer who makes drop in barrels for the 10/22.
I recommend the Volquartsen THM tension barrels. They come in 16" and are superb in accuracy. I had one (sold to purchase a 20" SS Volquartsen barrel).

Basicaly I'm looking for a dedicated 22LR barrel (to press into trunnion) to work with an HK .22LR conversion kit.

The Hogue stocks are nice and very forgiving. They take a 1.00 supressed barrel with no problems. As for turning a MP5 .22 RF tube it really should not be a problem, just get it in the trunnion right.
Handguard and cocking tube are easy enough to locate along with the sight.
Really keeping this simple....
