What is up with this association? I get emails from them and they
Bash the NRA and want petitions signed? I am a Long time NRA member...but I don't know who DudLey Brown is, nor what they truly stand for? Does anyone know about them?

Thank you,

Word on the interwebs is that they're a scam. I used to get emails saying that if I didn't donate money, the founder was going to prison or something like that.

Thank you,
I think something is backwards with them also. I really think they are misleading and possibly deceptively trying to gain intel on law abiding gun owners?

If this is the outfit they look legit.

Its the 'National Association for Gun Rights' rather than 'of'.

You can search their 990 IRS forms free at Guidestar. (http://www2.guidestar.org/Home.aspx)

Their strategy to defend the 2nd Amendment is here (http://www.nationalgunrights.org/about-us-2/our-strategy/).

They also have ammo giveaways when they reach a certain amount of "likes" on Facebook. I think their major gripe with the NRA is that the NRA supported many democrats in the last election who now are saying they are for more gun control. According to his bio, Dudley Brown did a lot of work with the Colorado State Shooting Association (NRA in Colorado). He spent a lot of time trying to get Colorado to become a "Shall Issue" state.
