Nowhere to be found.

Has anyone tried using small pistol magnum primers in leu of small rifle primers in 223?

Does anyone know where to buy small rifle primers that are in stock?

No, you shouldn't use pistol primers in .223 applications. Most pistols are rated at 35,000 psi max. .223 is rated at 55,000 psi max. A typical load will approach 45-50,000 psi which may cause a pierced primer. That will accelerate firing pin erosion as well as bolt face erosion. It probably won't result in a catastrophic failure, but a ruined BCG isn't fun either.

It would help to put your location in your profile so we know where you are looking. I just posted that DSS in Roseville (No Cal) has a bunch in stock.

+1000 to DO NOT do this. Rifle = rifle primers only. You can use rifle primers for pistol but not other way around.
