Heavy? Wow. Not that I doubt you, but what do you normally consider a good weight? I had my ex try mine out, and it's lighter than her all metal P239 she loves so much.

The backdrop of that range looks familiar, like I was there last night or somethin :)

Hey HK experts, what is a reasonable price for a HK M8 P7 i have seen one on consigment for $825 gun only, looks in good condition some minor bluing wear at the front of slide. Is this a good deal or what?

Also i checked out your pics i see that there are Hk M10 and also M13 what is the difference are they all 9mm, why the varient numbers? please let me know as im iching to buy this gun or try and get the price down a little, thanks for all who respond.

shin_en
04-18-2008, 7:57 PM
the m10 is a .4
the m13 is a 9mm that holds 13 rds whereas the m8 only holds 8 rds

(the m10 and m13 aren't on the roster so you can only get them through ppt)

not really sure if it's a good price or not, but looking at the prices on gunbroker, i'd say it's not bad...

Calibers were swapped out as quickly as a barrel and magazine change between .380, .32, .25 and .22LR. Going to rimfire meant flipping the firing pin over and on some examples using a specialized extractor.
Mine only converts from .380 to .22... what a neat little gun.

Actually the made a few more after that "Last 500" run with higher serial numbers...but who is counting it's still a sweet shooter.

HK P7M8 one of the last 500 made.

At least I didn't pay more than the typical P7 price for it.

I love the P7 - if it didn't cost so much I would have purchased more than one.

is your mag loaded the wrong way?

I don't remember the exact story behind it, but it has something to do with an HK promo or ad. The ad that was published had a picture of pistol with a loaded magazine and the top round was loaded backwards... or at least thats what I heard. So when the die hard HK people post a pic they usually have the top round loaded backwards.

it's really a great pistol...

1. shoots pretty tight groups.
2. even if it's considered full-size i still think it's pretty small in my opinion.
3. light enough for a polymer pistol.
4. easy to switch from single action to double action.
5. sights are very easy to use.
6. field stripping is easy enough.
7. cleaning is fast.

H&K USP 9mm

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v103/marbles71/guns040.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v103/marbles71/guns018.jpg

it's really a great pistol...

1. shoots pretty tight groups.
2. even if it's considered full-size i still think it's pretty small in my opinion.
3. light enough for a polymer pistol.
4. easy to switch from single action to double action.
5. sights are very easy to use.
6. field stripping is easy enough.
7. cleaning is fast.

Cool gun, but such a large gun for a 10 round 9mm. Well out in California at least.

5th round from the left looks short

thanks man, i will check that out before i go to the range next time. personally, i think it just looks short because i took this picture on an uneven surface (i.e. on top of my bed). but thanks!

here is my same USP 9mm but this time with a new Hogue Handall grip. it makes the grip larger for a guy with small hands like me, but it definitely feels a lot softer and "grippy" with them than without them.

yeah, it's pretty geeky, but i went shooting with some district 9 targets at 7 yards. pretty fun, and the usp is damn accurate too at that range. then again it is only 7 yards with a 9mm, but it's still a good enough group i think.

Hey guys I was looking at the Cals Sporting Armory site, and I was looking to buy a Streamlight TLR-3 tac light for my USP full-size in .40 cal.

I know that HK makes a proprietary rail that doesn't fit most accessories w/out a HK specific rail adaptor.

Here is the TLR-3: http://www.calssportingarmory.com/Streamlight_TLR_3_Tac_Light_Black_p/stl69220.htm

It says it comes w/ 5 different rails to fit different applications, but does anyone know if any of the given rails will fit on the fulll size USP .40? Or will I have to separately by an HK specific adapter?

Thanks guys.

I have a regular/non-USP model tlr-3 that came with the 5 or 6 panels. Mine fits fine as is with no panels. I have (had as it's in 10 day jail being sold) a fullsize 9mm AH date code. My best friend's fullsize USP 45 that's like 10 years old was the origional gun this belonged to and it fit fine on his as well. Can't vouch for other tlr-3's, but this one fits fine. Doesn't slip as long as you tighten the screw pretty hard with your fingers etc...

drunktank
05-24-2010, 11:33 PM
To be more clear, there is a tlr-3 model specifically for the USP. Mine isn't the USP one; it the regular. I didn't need to use my Surefire adapter as it fit just fine without the added panels.

mags are fine. just swap out the springs if/when yours go soft. it depends on how much you shoot or load and unload them. wolff springs are top notch.
