View Full Version : Where is "the list" of banned firearms?

I have been trying to get a rifle imported and so far no Bay Area dealer wants to touch it. Yes, even Irvington Arms and City Arms. They keep saying "it's on the list". I've looked at what I thought was "The List" on the DOJ page and don't see it.

The rifle in question has the features of a Vepr or Saiga but is not either one. It will have a monte carlo stock so it doesn't violate the "features" ban either.

Where can I find this list that the dealers claim my rifle is on?

http://www.calguns.net/copmemo2.pdf Go to page 13 and 14. What's the make and model? Mark

I guess I didn't make it clear...I have found what I thought was the official list. But I keep hearing from dealers that what I want "is listed". So now I'm thinking there is "some other" list that is out there that I'm not seeing.

I've read through the Roberti-Roos and the Kasler Series list and I don't see it. It's not even on anything in the link above. If those are the only official sources then I guess the dealer's I've so far dealt with have been wrong.

there is two lists...one with pictures and the other just the ar/ak listed ones.

This is THE LIST If it's not listed specifically by manufacturer and model, then it falls under SB23 regs.

Not quite. The AW guide is hopelessly outdated

The "list" of banned guns is a mix of 12276PC (echoed in 11 CCR 5495) and 11 CCR 5499 (the "Kasler list" of formally identified AR/AK 'series' members).

If you have questions about a non-AR/non-AK gun (i.e, Roberti-Roos listing) you should check both 12276PC as well as the above list's echo of it (slight handwaving, slight differences probably not legal to enforce, but good idea to stay away from those areas.

Also, in the Kasler list you'll see listings for under a given make with "Model (all)". Those likely do not meet Harrott specificity guidelines, but you don't need the fight so walk away from those too.

What rifle are you trying to import?

Looks like I'm good to go. The rifle is not a "series" of anything and is not listed by name anywhere.

Imagine this with no flash hider:

Looks good to me!
What's the make/model?

I was looking into getting the same wood set for a tiger.
I think the quote I got was $395-$600 for the set. It was a while ago. I asked ruseller in russia.

Would that classify as a pistol grip?
