I was looking through some old copies of Muzzleloader magazine the other day, and saw an article about a 14" double barrel muzzleloading shotgun. The article was about it being a good back-packing gun.
I don't remember ever seeing these for sale here in California. Were or are the legal here or are they treated the same as cartridge SBS's?

I believe CA law is similar to federal law with regards to black powder weapons.

non fixed cartridge shotguns are not considered to be subject to regulation as firarms and therefore can have as short a barrel as you can hang onto (at least federally) at least one company manufactures a double barrel percussion muzzleloader 20 gauge pistol, (I can't remember who it was, it was discussed at THR)
