I bought some Aguila subsonic (my 10/22 seems to like it and I can only find it @ that gunshow), a Hogue rubber grip for my 29, a ball cap that says "Infidel" and a cheap nylon case for my AR.
Later on in the day I met member Phil Conrad @ Turner's Ftn Valley and did a PPT.:chris:
But yeah, SOS on the gun show. I don't even stop to look at the guns anymore.

So you guys are saying there were no guns at the gun show, or that they were just too expensive?

Interesting show, found some good stuff and some dealers were willing to negotiate the prices(Northridge+1). Some dealers were priced way to high. I guess they want to haul those parts around forever.
I have one request, will all the fatties please take a shower and use some deodorant before you go to the show.
Good deal on .223 ammo? Really the only reason I was thinking about going.

Wolf Military classic $117.95 for 500. It's the 55 gr fmj. The cheapest factory Miwall had for sale.

To me the show was just the same old black pistols and accessories for black rifles. *yawn*
Saw a coupla N frames but neither interested me.

Holy cow! I walked into the N.E. building where CWS is at about 10:30 on Saturday and thought someone crapped themselves it was so bad. Turned right around and did the rest of the show hoping that it would air out. Went back an hour or so later and it still brought a tear to my eye. Some bad smellin' Mo Fo's indeed
Wasn't the gun show in Pomona banned a couple years ago?

I picked up 2 Glock 22 mags (near-new) for $15.00 each. Also got to meet the CWS staff. Met Grammaton, but didn't properly introduce myself. The show was better than I expected but nothing like the old Great Western shows of the 80s & 90s. Was glad to see lots of OLLs though.. we've come a long way in 2 years.

Not a bad show.
Picked up the last lb. of Unique powder Miwall had and some Winchester .22 LR PowerPoint ammo that has not been available for at least a year.
Also picked up a brand new Swedish Mauser sling at a good price.
Couldn't find the couple that have been at the last few shows selling the Swedish Mora knives though.

Miwall was asking for $400+ for 1k rounds of Winchester 5.56!!!
I scored some decent deal on the Winchester Q3131 5.56 ammunition.
I found a great deal on Hornady 12GA tactical buckshot ammunition.
And, score a great deal on some once-fired brass.
Almost, found the deal on the century on 6mm BR ammunition but it turned out be wrong caliber. (Needed 6mm BR Norma, but found 6mm BR Rem!!!)
Didn't really see any deals that I was interested in firearms but I wasn't really trying.
Decent selection on jerkys and bought some buffalo jerky :)
Overall, pretty good experience.

Sounds a little better than the Glendale show I had the misfortune of attending, but not by much. The highlight of the show was trying some really tasty beef jerky, but I'd have to be nuts to buy jerky for $30/lb. The only new handgun dealer at the Glendale show was Gunrunners and all their handguns were priced at MSRP - $30....are you kidding me?! I bought a boresnake and 500 rounds of 9mm ammo just to make me feel like I didn't waste half a day. Really pathetic.
I was thinking about going out to OC, but it's quite a drive for me and I promised my g/f to take her out because her birthday was on Wednesday (that's after already spending almost $500 on presents ). Doesn't sound like I missed much.
I was disappointed big time. None of the dealers that I had already planned to purchase stuff from were there. I was planning on buying a Stag upper but forgot the stupid credit card at home. Could only be there for a couple of hours since I had to work.

Could have been better, but not this time.
Saw some guns, but nothing overly interesting for me. Met some people I haven't seen in a few months.

DID YOU BUY YOUR SOFT CASES FROM THE STRIPER? :chris:

Yeah... I opted out. From everything I'm reading in this thread, it sounds like all I missed was a long drive and a nasal assault. Instead, the wife and I headed down to Old Pasadena and did some shopping. Beautiful day for it too. At least until we saw the Altadena fire raging about a mile from our house! Yikes!
Jeez, I sure miss those Texas gunshows.
I'm looking to pick up a new .308 Rem 700 Police... but the way rifles are priced around here (if they even HAVE any) I think I'll be ordering online. Sheesh.
