In your opinion how important overall has this website been for you and for fellow Californians for information and spreading the progun gospel?

HUGE! Calguns has done more for me personally than any other pro-gun "organization" could have had I lived in another state. Of course, we need this sort of focus, considering the socialist environment we're trapped in.

This site has been an amazing asset to me. . . couldn't have gotten an OLL w/o it. . .

A great source of information. I love coming here to find the latest loop-hole/compliance requirements. Also the discussion is whole lot less judgemental. On ARF.CON you're first a stupid-*ss liberal for living in "kali" (they stop there because they can't actually spell California) and why don't you move (but not into my state).

I agree. I'm a supporter of the NRA, but this site and a couple of members have done more to restore our gun rights than all the gun organizations have ever done since 2000. Kinda sad too.

I voted for Extremely important as this is the place that has done the most to give me the EBR that I wanted, is working on dismantling the "safe" handgun roster and may eventually get me more Large capacity magazines. NO ONE has done anything else like this in CA except the fine people at this place.
It is one of the most civil cyber places I visit and I practically live here(I know , I should get a life:D).

By the way what wastoid called this place a waste of bandwidth. someone "Get a Rope":ban:

This site is invaluable, I have been around guns my whole life and never been exposed to the great info shered here. I believe Calguns to be a model of what a good gun related website should be.

This is a great site. There's lots of good info on here. I especially like how some one is always posting a link in response to a legal question.

If I hadn't found this site I probably would have inadvertently done something illegal. It's been a real asset for me, I've learned a lot from all the people here.

this site is was very instramental in getting NO anti-gun legislation passed last year. i think this site is very important. the members here are far more active than anyone i can think of.

This site is what got me all of my OLLs! I would have never have known about them without it. With the knowledge gleaned here regarding OLLs, I am able to pass that on to others in LE that don't share my interest or enthusiasm with firearms.

I do have one complaint overall though. There are MANY times when people spout off rumors and bad legal advice to an unknowing person posting a genuine question. (see: ANY LE threads;)) Often times, there is no fact checking or factual support to back these statements. That can be dangerously misleading to someone should they follow this bad advice.

There are threads on here that answer questions by saying the answer is yes, no, only if you do this, no unless you get this and have these, or both yes and no depending on what your social security number is, etc.:D

Fortunately, the bad advice is usually superseded by a flood of correct advice in the end.

Overall, I think good advice is given when it comes to firearms laws, legal configurations, updates on new legislation, etc. I certainly don't claim to know everything and I take those opportunities to learn when and where I can. Besides, Calguns provides a rallying point for those fighting the good fight for RKBA and 2A freedoms. As a citizen in this crazy state, how can I not support that. It is a good cause.

Waste of bandwidth!!!!!

Just kidding.. Extremely important. Come here for all sorts of reasons - networking, referencing of guns and accessories, laws, etc. etc. It's a great place for people to get acquainted with their firearms with the help of people who know what they're talking about. I'm on here every day.

Great site! The info I get here keeps me more informed then any other site I visit.

The ONLY down side I have seen is the "Cop Bashing". :beatdeadhorse5: Every time a thread turns that way, I just go to another site. I realize I may be missing more valuable information, but I just refuse to be a part of it.
