While bored one night I found sniper central as well as snipershide. Central seems slow as far as activity and not friendly toward newer members, IMO. Snipershide OTOH is a great site, busy, and have always had questions answered there. Have even bought and sold some stuff there would great results. On Central, seems like most of the "good" articles are for paying members, ie. building a budget sniper gun, etc. I no longer go to central. YMMV

does anyone know specifically about sniper central's membership? they make it sound like if you join you can get wicked sick deals on equipment, with some sort of special ninja member arrangement; whats the deal with that?

Sniper Central is cool I did the $10 membership about a year ago. Updates can be a little slow on the paid members forum, but the information is great. One of the topics Mel walks you through a Savage Arms(Stevens) rebuild which I think was worth the $10 in itself. Being a paid member it was cool having the opportunity to bounce questions off someone so knowledgeable (email) and not have to filter through the forums. Its true they can be a little cautious with new members, but thats true of many sites. I took a hit here on Calguns with my first post, no big deal, its just the internet:).
Why limit yourself to just one site when basic membership is usually free? Join them all. The "sniper" sites are cool, but you can learn a lot from the precision 1000 yard shooting crowd as well.

LDS is barely under the "Christian" umbrella, and has been at odds with Christianity on many subjects since it's conception. (an observation not a criticism). That said, I'd imagine there are plenty of Mormons on this board, and there are certainly plenty of Christians, so for the sake of everyone getting along perhaps you should take heed of how rarely religion is mentioned around here.

Besides, Theodosius I decreed Christianity the official religion of the Roman Empire, and Caesar was brutally assassinated.

Are you serious? I myself am an LDS member and you have no idea what you are talking about, The full name is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. How can you call us "almost not Christians"?

lol, that was the way it was explained to me by my best friend who is also a member of the LDS church. It is entirely possible that he is a dumb***. I didn't mean LDS wasn't Christian, just that a number of the church's beliefs varied from some of the other Christian religions. I guess I was trying to say that LDS' beliefs specifically vary quite a bit from Protestantism. When I hear "Christian" I always think Protestant, every practicing Catholic or Mormon I've met referred to themselves as that specifically. But then, I'm Catholic and I've been told I'm not Christian, which seemed equally ridiculous to me. My apologies if I offended you with my idiocy or made it worse by failing to better explain my thought. :o

In any case, offending fellow Calgunners with uniformed/rude/incorrect statements about other religions was what I was attempting to suggest we all avoid. Ironic I should do so at the same time. /fail

I generally find Sniper's Hide to be a little more informative. Also, many of the online vendors give discounts to hide members as well as various group buy deals. Best of all, no fees to join the forum.
