While the news sites are reporting near 70% supporting "additional" gun control, they are also reporting near 70% in support of LTC laws. Would it be worth attempting a ballot measure in CA for Shall issue CCW?

No. Constitutional rights must never be subject to the popular vote. The correct forum is Federal Court.

The gay marriage people found that out the hard way.

The gay marriage law attempted to "remove" a right not grant a right. I don't see how this could be challenged in court. Certainly there is the mindset that a court ruling will stand up better. I mean no one would get told by the court that guns in common use are protected by the 2nd amendment, and then turn around and attempt to ban all semi-autos in common use, right Chicago?

If it passes, we get shall issue. If they challenge it in court, we still get a court ruling. I'm failing to see the negative.

And, ballot measures in CA are both extraordinarily expensive and hazardous to rights.
