I have a couple 20/30 round 5.56 mags which I legally possess. I know I can not sell, give away or even loan these to anyone in California, but could I offer them for sale to a buyer outside of Ca? IOW, sell from here to abuyer in a free state?
TIA...

Do you mean like an online sale and ship them from here?

This state is half bass backwards and I believe I was told by some of the CGF peeps that you cannot ship them out as mags, you will have to break them down as kits. You think that the pundits of the great state would rejoice as someone sent out those evil hi-cap mags/clips out of the state.

I could be wrong though, but that is what I remember from talking to some of the Calguns Foundation peeps ;)

Just disassemble them and you will be fine, selling in-state or out-of-state.

Reading the law, you cannot offer large capacity magazines for sale in California. There are several exemptions, but not one for selling out of the state.

This. Problem solved.

If you own the legally, why would you want to sell them?

Once you sell them, you won't be able to replace them, legally.

If he's tired of getting crap for them at the range (like I did), or maybe he's looked at what they are selling for (I've seen mags I that look like they've done ten years in Iraq going for $40 a pop, and PMAGs for $60) and decided to turn a quick profit.
