He forgot the salutation "Dear B***h",

I doubt if the mods would allow a poll to see how many here share the Corporal's sentiments but I'd like to see one.

First, epic letter.

Most importantly, this is exactly what we need MORE of. Veterans currently enjoy a protected media status of "automatic hero" and their voices will therefore "count" far more heavily than our own in the media arena of sound bites and pithy quotes.

If anyone knows more such veterans, encourage them to take advantage of this time (and the elevated media status they currently enjoy) to strike for great effect in defense of our 2nd Amendment rights.

Get bloggers to post their quotes, or submit them directly to the MSM like CNN or Fox or whoever.

Lastly, is that really a direct quote from the CNN producer? Does the CNN producer not speak English nor have access to an english-speaking editor? Yikes...major grammar fail

Very simple and sadly it is the same people that think like her and keep voting for her over and over again! There is almost no hope left when in Socialist California you got more then half of the people thinking all guns are evil.....

THIS

I own no firearms and come here to live vicariously through you bitter gun owners. I simply cling to my bible in the basement, along with my fully California-legal BOW which I use for LEGAL hunting only.

Bc the San Francisco bay area and LA hold 1/2 of CA's population where she gets 70-80% of the vote. That can never be undone unless we have a megaqauke and LA and the bay area falls into the ocean.

Let's all send her an email with the CNN link in the OP.

Dianne Feinstein; E-Mail Me (https://www.feinstein.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/e-mail-me)

I Clicked on the Civil Liberties / Rights category.

"Please review this link regarding my Second Amendment Rights.

Thank you."

I wonder if he caught this before hitting the email button...

"I will not register my weapons should this bill be passed, as I do not believe it is the government's right to know what I own. Nor do I think it prudent to tell you what I own so that it may be taken from me by a group of people who enjoy armed protection yet decry me having the same a crime."

"You will not tell me that I must register my semi-automatic AR-15 "

By serial number? Maybe he has more than one, and the crappiest is the "turn in gun." Maybe he doesn't own an AR-15, and it is just a euphemism for the 65 other EBRs that he owns.

But yeah, it does sort of rate high on the facepalm scale.

Who knows, if David Gregory gets a free pass on a 1A "freedom of the press" argument (as he is being defended in some liberal circles), then maybe this veteran should get a lifetime AR-15 free pass for exercising his 1A rights as well.

This is what I wrote just now. I doubt she will care.

"With respect,

Your proposed renewal of the assault weapons ban will do nothing to deter gun crime or gun violence. With the recent Supreme Court rulings, we can confidently say that the second amendment protects an individual right to self-defense (not merely hunting or sport shooting). As an American citizen, I ask that you stop taking rights away from law abiding citizens. Please do not go after what is politically expedient and will rile up your base (gun control), but go after what is the real problem not being addressed (mental health law). Firearms are used in this country 2.5 million times per year in self-defense according to criminologists Gary Kleck. Law abiding gun owners are tired of being attacked with senseless legislation that only hassles those who choose to obey the law and leaves them defenseless against those who do not care about the make, model, or round capacity of the firearms they obtain by any means to commit their atrocious acts. Thank your for your time."

Except for the symbolic and cathartic value in such a letter, trying to open a dialogue or rationalize with such insulated and arrogant politicians is meaningless. She undoubtedly has a buffer of aides around her that filter out any negativity and reinforce her worldview that she is widely loved and doing good work for America.

Bobby Ricigliano

This new effort at broad based gun control measures may be the wake up call where politicians finally grasp the maxim that their power over the people is predicated on the consent of those people to be governed by them.

Great letter and if you haven't noticed guys, our elections are FIXED.
They call winners before the polls close (illegal, or it used to be) with 3% of precincts reporting???? You can bet the following people ALWAYS WIN in CA

1: Prison guard union
2: Caltrans
3: Illegal alien "mafia"

And between these three stangle-holding all the money - we is broke. Ask Arnie. Feinstein wins because she has sold out to the machine, just like Waxman, the machine always wins. I think the only decent rep we have is Boxer (that actually cares about people, not necessarily the 2A). Want to know who/what the machine is?? Look where the money goes, just follow the $$ see where it gets spent.

It's too bad he made the mistake of telling her she carries a gun.

Everyone knows she had a CCW for a while after Milk's and Moscone's assassinations, but gave that up long ago.

Coastal California needs Inland California, and vice-versa. It would be incredibly stupid to split the state.

I'd like to buy him a beer, also. But since we are unable to, we could still each hoist a tankard of our favorite road soda in his honor. I'll have to wait until 8AM though - I usually don't drink beer before that hour .....:D

I'd be willing to bet that if Di Fi's proposed firearms restrictions/bans get signed into law, the gubment will try to make an example of that Marine and a few others who have the audacity to publicly tell the anti gun crowd to shove it.

Everything south of Mendocino can GTFO.

I'm a bit biased, Humboldt's constantly broke and all our money goes to LA/SD. -_-
Del Norte's always broke and all our money goes to LA/SD.

It seems that many are taking advantage of the ability to contact representatives in congress, and I am thankful that the process is being used.

I have written to both senators and to my congressional rep.

Let's stop this weapons ban.
