Does anyone know if gun trusts can be setup in CA? Using a trust as the owner of firearms, it would allow "transfer" (not really transfer, the trust always is the owner - the trustee would just change) of NFA firearms.

^ And do check out the link in this guy's sig, it's the good stuff.

Realistically an AOW like a Super Shorty is going to be your only option.

Lawyer Kevin Lee Thomason does these NFA trusts. He is of counsel to CGF, but any NFA trust work he does is unrelated to CGF. He has a website for you to visit:

Link to NFA Trust Website (http://californianfatrust.com/)

Hope this helps.

Note that that a trust is not a true entity, and does not hold title to assets. Title to assets is held by the trustee(s) under the terms of the trust.

This is generally the case, but under the NFA trusts are treated as entities.

Treatment would differ as to non-NFA weapons held in trust.
