Hey all, I know there are a ton of threads about this, but I couldn't find one about this particular topic - apologies if I missed it!

From what I could make of http://wiki.calgunsfoundation.org/index.php/The_Handgun_Safety_Certificate and http://wiki.calgunsfoundation.org/Transferring_Firearms_Among_Some_Family_Members, for an intrastate, intrafamiliar transfer, only the recipient is required to have a HSC at the time of transfer, correct?

Scenario: parents want to transfer handguns purchased over a decade ago, in the days of the BFSC. They haven't purchased any firearms since, and thus, do not have a HSC. Can they transfer the handguns to their children, within the same state, without a HSC, as long as the children have HSCs?

Thanks!

only the recipient of a transfer needs an HSC, not the transferor.

Awesome, thanks for confirming that!
