I remember one of the writers at the Redwood City Patch tried this tactic.

Until her personal information appeared in the comments.

She tried to delete them but they got re-entered till she got the clue.

Guerilla warfare now...

This creates a listing of houses without guns for criminals to use to rob unarmed victims and one for them to case houses if they want to steal a gun. HOW SMART!

Not sure why, one of the responders decided to go full douchebag and basically call the OP a stupid liar, may have had something to do with it.

Yeah, now I'm against registration. This type of information should be protected with a court order. We don't have a permit to use the 1st amendment and we shouldn't have a permit to use the 2nd because this proves that registration is not a common sense limitation on the 2a.

This is the beginning of a long line of intimidation to get people to give up guns. First is names and addresses, then questions on employment and child student applications, then a media blitz to avoid people owning guns, then churches ousting gun-owning members....it wont stop until law-abiding, honest owners fight back. We are right on the edge of civil war. Look at the White House petitions by several states to secede.

Shaming you out of something is a very old tactic. Hang on and hold tight.

If you havent signed the White House petition about Piers Morgan yet please do, its really picking up speed, 30,000 more sigs in past 24 hours....
www.petitions.whitehouse.gov/petitions

There are also at least three other ban petitions, please look for and sign those too.

Many people havent wanted to sign because your name is used. Does that truly matter now? Gloves are starting to come off all over the country. People think that a petition doesnt matter but whats going on is that as the numbers grow, news outlets are reporting them so there really is value.

Search using the CGN Google Search in the top right corner and you'll see that this happens quite a bit here in California too. For the most part, what you put on your CCW application is public information and can be requested by the media or any of us.

The civil war stuff...is pure :TFH:

States can submit all the petitions to secede they like...it ain't going to happen. They're just publicity stunts by media seeking politicians.

Maybe somebody should publish her address and info. If she gets raped and killed that's not really a big deal, just as if the gun owners whose info she published get killed...

What was interesting about that map were the few pistol licenses in downtown New York, where the rich and politically connected live and where an average citizen wouldn't be allowed to own a gun for self defense. I guess some people are more equal than others:

Reginald Ward on Park Avenue, the head of a police organization http://nypdconfidential.com/columns/2011/110502.html

Joseph Nekola in Manhattan, the CEO of Lincoln Controls, a private security guard, undercover investigator, and mystery shopper company. http://lincolncontrolsinc.com/index.php/about
