Always wondered this but no more so as it looks like more of us will have RAWs in the not too distant Yee future. If your receiver beaks are you allowed to send it to the manufacturer for a new one with the same serial? Has this ever happened to anyone?

If you mean Red Jacket as in the retards on Sons of Guns, I wouldn't trust them to fix a mosin nagant let alone a precious RAW.

You repair it. That could involve everything up to removing the section with the serial number and welding it onto another receiver.

Why not have an identical receiver made by CNC machine with same serial number, then destroy the old one. It would be the same thing right? after all it will only be one? Kind of like a repair kit for magazines? Even if the ATF or DOJ look a the receiver it would be the same and there won't be duplicates.

Sounds legal to me! If there is only one functioning receiver with the unique serial number on it and its registered to you why would it be a problem?

Order a couple of 80% lowers before they double in price.

Too late. Almost all of them around here are gone. Also there is a shop near me that machines them and sells them. They are back logged like crazy.
