Let's get some discussion rolling..

What do you guys collect? More than mosins and milsurps please. What do you like?

I collect pretty much anything, But I dont have too much of a like for Blackpowder rifles -Muzzle loaders specifically-, Certainly not the modern ones. Im more into BP Revolvers, Just more of an interest to me.

I have a love for weird things, Knuckleduster revolvers, Early ''pocket guns'', Battle damaged and torn stuff. Obscure cartridges and weird firearms. Basically, I collect anything that's interesting, and that I like.

How about yourself?

I'm the opposite of you and got hooked on old school blackpowder pistols.

Recently acquired a 1972 Pedersoli Kentucky flintlock pistol and a CVA Kentuky percussion pistol made in the 70s. It's another fun hobby for us gun owners! Also it's cool to know how things were done back in the day.

Oh yeah? Tell me more. Maybe you'll get me hooked. ;)

It's not that I see anything wrong with them, They just don't interest me..

At least not the modern Thompson center and Hawken replicas.

Well I'm still new to the BP world even though ive been shooting since I was 18 (recently turned 24).

Moving away from modern BP muzzleloaders like Thompson Center, I would look at eBay (yes eBay) for a used CVA percussion pistol. Guys would have barrels & half a set. If you're the kind of guy who likes to tinker & put stuff together then old school BP is for you.

I guess the reward is knowing who have something nostalgic. After shooting ARs and polymer guns, sometimes you just wanna go slow one at a time.

I have a really bid thing for C&R 22s. I really enjoy shooting them and the fact that I can have them shipped right to my door helps. I juust need to find my stevens 414.

I adore the Winchester model 68. If I find one again I will buy it..

Something I really love is heavily used guns. Stuff with worn out finishes that's clearly been through some hell! My love for BP Revolvers is quite strong, My Favorites being 1858's, 1875's and assorted pocket models.

I know the OP didn't want to mention Mosins but I still have trouble tracking down my unicorn: m91/59

I got all my modern stuff I wanted back in the early 90's that you can't buy here anymore. I've been done with that rat-race for a while now. Shortly after, my taste took a turn to appreciate the history of C&R's. Now a days I collect pieces from the 1880's through WWII and of course BP. But I mostly and strictly collect original WWI Mannlichers and their variants...going on for the past 15 years or so.

I first got into collecting WWII era rifles. I initially bought three Mosins (m91/30, M44, M38). I then picked up the No4, MK1 Enfield.. then the K98 Mauser and finally.. my grail till that point.. the M1 Garand. I have matching bayos/slings/bandoliers/ammo from this era for each as well.

I then stumbled upon 3 turn of the century (1890-1920), police pistols and snatched those up. I am expecting my 2nd kid in a few months so I am trying to be reserved, but I really..really want an early 1900's Webley breaktop in .38, but it is going to have to wait a little.

I also collect watches and currently am at 24.

Anything US Military, I'm short a Krag and Trapdoor to fill out my issued long gun collection. Anything Between WWI and WWII. It has to shoot, they don't sit in my safe!

My main focus is WWII vintage, but between my son and myself we have guns from the 1870s to the 1980s, all milsurp. Most are listed in my sig, except the "modern" ones, 3 M16 clones, an AK (Tantal), a CETME, an L1A1, VZ58. Most of those are with my son in the free state of Alaska.

Nothing wrong with mosins or milsurps, We just hear too much about them in the C&R Forum. I want a 1907 Mosin myself. :D

The majority of my stuff is c&r shotguns. A-5 clones.. older Remingtons also. Lately it's been older .22 rifles.

at first all i though about was finding more mosins, at one time i had about 7. after getting a SKS i still bought more mosins. for me i figured out if i do not shoot them i tire of them. cant shoot 5 mosins the same day. just to much cleaning. right now i only have my 1955 romanian M 44 and my Quality Repro PU sniper. i still enjoy finding and cleaning a on sale MN. i am excited about my M1A i just got. sold 2 mosins and a turners SKS just to fund 1/2 the M1A. i wish i could enjoy every rifle and keep them but that is just not me. if i loose interest i move on.

As I am sure you can tell, I collect mainly German World War 2 rifles, but I don't just collect the K 98, I collect all the odd balls, and rare interesting models. Models like the G29, G24(t), G98/40, and G33/40. I know they are milsurp, but I guarantee that alot of members haven't heard of many of those.

Sadly I only collect guns now. Growing up I used to collect the normal stuff; sports cards, comic books, coins, foreign currency, etc. I still have those collections but am no longer active. Hopefully one day those collections will be valuable and will help my retirement (which I'm nowhere near). I think I'm okay with just collecting guns now, don't really have time, money or space for anything else.

Use to collect AK47 variants until the ban.

Then switched to G43's - still looking for the elusive long barreled "test" ac variant.

Uh, WW1 rifles and BP revolvers, so far. Going to build an AR, but no one wants to hear about that...

US military, Trapdoors to 03a3's plus a couple carbines -- Surplus of krags.
Old Single Shots, mostly stevens, but a hi-wall and a modern ruger #3
The single shots also include a m71 mauser.
Pumps are nice too. Colt, remington 141, win97 and jc higgins 20 are primary.
Guess I just pick up what I fancy :-)

Unrelated to guns, I collect military stuff.

Hats, Jackets, Parkas are big hits with me. Pilot Jackets especially :)

Anything military, anything old, but special emphasis on WW2 and mosins.

C&R .22 rifles have been catching my eye lately too.

I have a soft spot for Enfield #5 Jungle Carbines. I sold the first one I had back in the late 1980's because surplus ammo had dried up.

It took me over 20 years to find another one that was as nice as my first - then I found a second nice one about 4 months later. I still have both of them and now reload my own ammo. If I find another with a decent bore in a different variation, I'd probably buy it..

Do any of you collect inert ordnance?

Im looking for a few pointers. Grenades specifically.
