Is this the older lacquer coated Wolf ammo, or the newer black polymer coated ammo?

PMs sent and PMs answered.

The ammo is green so it is probably lacquered. I did an internet search and there is some talk that the lacquer will gum up while others say they have not had a problem. One post stated the lacquer is fine for semi-auto rifles but not so good for a bolt action. What is the experience of shooters here?

I've found the lacquer type works fine without any issue in AK based rifles, worked just OK in Mini-14s andMini-30s with some variable trouble after many rounds but nothing terrible, and is not very good and causes trouble in most all of the AR15s and Kel-Tecs.

I've never tried it in other rifles or bolt actions. I was tempted to run some through my M96s, but then decided against it after seeing it cause messy problems in a couple of different ARs.

I ran a couple hundred rounds through one of my AR's about 5 years ago with no problems. I have read about problems with it though.

So this stuff is really brass? Or is it the steel case stuff, or the bi-metal? Thanks

OOOOOPS. Sorry about that. I just reread your original post. You said copper FMJ. Because the bullet is copper. I was being stupid, didnt read it right, I thought you were saying it was copper cased. Sorry about that again.

It's green lacquered and the box says steel case. I'll take a pic. Wait one.

If your ammo is all truly copper jacketed, as in it will not attract a magnet, I'd like to buy all of it. I'm in southern california, however. I will of course pay shipping.

Please do let me know. Kev
