If You buy a handgun (used) form another state (ON ROSTER) and wish to return it because You are not satisfied with the condition , DO YOU HAVE TO SHIP IT BACK TO SOME FFL OR CAN YOU SEND IT DIRECTLY TO THE SELLER.

Ask your FFL since it's in his hands and received in his books.

If this is a hypothetical question, then maybe best asked in the FFL forum (http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/forumdisplay.php?f=168) here.

IIRC, if it is transferring ownership, it has to go through an FFL. You can send your own firearm to yourself; 'bout it.

As you can see, depends a little on who actually has the gun.

If you went to your FFL and looked at it, and said 'Oh, no, do not want' before you did DROS and such, then the FFL should be able to send it back, and to whom is his concern (almost certainly has to be an FFL, which might be one reason some FFLs prefer to receive shipments only from other FFLs).

OTOH, if you took possession after your 10-day wait, you have to arrange to ship it out of state, and that would require an FFL in that other state.
