Is $600 a good price for a low round count West German Sig 226 Stainless? My Boss is selling it to me for that price. Just wanted to know if it's a good deal. The gun is LNIB.

Thanks, the only thing i'm really concerned is the weight of it. I was going to get a reg 226 tomorrow but he offered me his. So I was going to look at it on Monday and maybe do the paperwork that day too. How much do you think it usually runs?

there was no "stainless" variant of the "west german" P226 available for the retail market.

I am assuming West German as in the folded and not the milled slide. That would make it nickel-plated. If full nickel W. German p226, snatch it up. That is one hell of a deal if condition is as stated and even with out box and papers…

I would definitely go for it! That's a good price in my book as long as it's well cared for.

an older all German P226 is definitely worth $600 or more.

It is hard to appraise a gun I've never seen.

You did take pictures of it, right?

Would you mind giving some detail on the folded vs. milled slide. Thanks in advance!

All truly West German Sigs will have stamped steel slides.
The P226 you are talking about=, if it is all stainless, may have a frame made in Germany with a USA Stainless Steel Slide. Because the frame is made in Germany and the serial number is on the frame it will be registered as a Germany made pistol.
