Rode hard and put away wet at the factory. Bundled up in paper like a nice juicy steak.

Some day I too will experience the gooey delight of a Les Baer 1911. Like the center of a warm peanut butter fudge brownie, it lightens my heart. :)

I was quoted at 20 weeks. I heard at the time they were actually more like a year. This one took me 9 months. I have heard that current wait times are now well over a year, regardless of what's being quoted out there.

That makes all three manufactures now, Wilson, Brown, and Baer with a year or more wait time.

Beautiful 1911 can't wait for the range report.

Not sure if I am going to shoot it or not...blasphemy?

LOVE the no Front Slide Serrations. Was it cheaper with the Naked slide? I want to order a LB very similar to that. Beautiful.

That's pretty awesome. One day I'll get a stainless or chrome Stinger with a sterile slide.

Congrats, OP!

I just picked up mine and going through the break-in now.

Thankfully, it loosened up after 200 rounds. :D

Well, that's the whole chicken and egg thing...

I can say it was pretty funny to unwrap the paper; it was wrapped incredibly tight just like a steak.

As mentioned above, I'm not sure if I'm going to shoot it or not.

I jumped the gun and made several 1911 purchases since I ordered it. I really don't need more than one 1911, so the tough part for me now is to figure out what I'm going to keep, and what I'm going to sell. They are all ridiculously nice, so I'm a bit stumped at the moment.

Agreed, FCS are ugly. They sure are useful though, especially on full size 1911's with full length springs.

Congrat! Beautiful.

I considered a Les Baer 1911 vs. a Sig P210. end up with the army version P49! The Les Baer certainly is still VERY tempting!

I've never shot a P210. I've heard they are the most accurate semi auto out there. The original ones sure are beautiful looking guns.

My TRS gone thru 1000 rds with no single FTF... But I have to adjust the rear sight 2 mm to the right to center the shots.

One way or another, all guns require some sort of break-in, proofing, or proving. Some more than others.

I agree, all guns need to be shot a few hundred rounds to prove themselves trustworthy, but it seems a lot of people believe they should be trusted right out of the box

Well, trust is a pretty subjective word.

I can't think of a single unproven gun that I distrust enough to stand in front of.

You MUST shoot it, you're killin me!! Even if you plan on selling it, what's a couple hundred more rounds??

So I guess what I'm saying is YES it is blasphemy!
