I've had alot of handguns, bought and sold alot of guns on CG and I still can't get over my affinity for my Glock 26. Am I alone?

the G26 is my favorite subcompact semi auto.

I'm a big fan of both the G-19 & the G-26. I shoot the G-26 just fine with the normal mag floor plates. My pinky naturally curls under it. I'm not into attaching lights to firearms & I like the rounded front of the G-26 compared to the G-19.

I definitely need to pick up one to go with my 17 and 19. I'm hoping Lipsey's will do a run of glock subcompacts in FDE. I'd be all over that.

It was my first handgun. I had lost interest in it for a while, but its been growing on me again lately.

do you guys think there are any "must do" aftermarket upgrades for a stock G 26?

Mine too. With the G27 a close second.

I have a Magpul Floorplate on the G26 on the left. Really nice place for my pinky..Notice the preban mag extension..? They add 2 rounds and a bit of support. Unlike todays models that just have a curl and no added rounds.

I know that feeling. I'am a nut for OD but would love a FDE Glock as well.

The G26 is one of the handguns I trained my daughter on. She loves it and I have to hide it now. ;)

I carry the G27 but often shoot it as a G26 with the Lonewolf conversion. Perfect size. The only add on is GAP Floor plates. I have them on all my subcompact mags.

I love my G26! It's nice to have 10 rounds in a subcompact package.

I have a G26, but just not in love with it. I am slowly moving away from Glocks due to the fat grip and warming up to my Sigs.

Love my G26. Easy to shoot, accurate, and eats everything I feed it. I had to hunt for one though. Everywhere I looked was sold out of them for a while.

Definitely not alone. The G26 is one of my favorites. When I leave the house it's either my G26 or G19 on me. Sometimes both. :38:

I have a Glock 27 that i traded my boss for. 26 has alot less recoil IMO but if it wasent for the sweet trade from my boss i wouldve bought the 26. try them both out

Same here. I am looking at another G19 and G26 GEN4. SSE it of course.

I have a Love/Hate thing going on with my new Gen 3 19, would I recommend one to a friend? Heck no, not Gen 3 at least. Mine is out of spec causing BTTF. Dealing with that issue at the moment.

Question for everyone, is the GEN4 Route the way to go? I do not trust Gen 3s at all.

Dammit Oceanbob! How the h*ll did you get ahold of FDE subcompacts? I know Lipsey's never did a run of FDE subcompacts.

Weird, they look FDE in that photo.

As I've said before, you have all the cool toys. I'm jealous.

I wish I had jumped on some of those OD Glocks when they were clearing them out. But I didn't jump fast enough. When they announced they were being discontinued, they went damn fast. The last distributor we called had 2 left, but in the 5 minutes it took me to decide, someone else grabbed them. Missed it by that much. :(

I have been debating on the 26 model for a little while now even though I don't own any glocks. The biggest thing is it's a small gun that still fits 10 rounds of 9mm which is nice. In case anyone is looking, GOG has them in stock, stock and with night sights.

OP: Thanks for a cool thread. I have the G23 myself but I am in the market for a concealable 9mm. What's the cheapest price you've seen on a G26/G27? Second hand is fine.

I have a G29, I can understand the love for the subcompact Glocks. The G26 is on my list here eventually to pickup. I had some trigger time with one a while ago and I enjoyed it.

I currently have one on my ccw. as far as shooting it goes, I cant really complain about anything. I added night sights and an extended slide release to make it that much easier to manipulate.

That said, I just picked up my shield .40 (non CA model) and I think I'm going to try to get the 9mm shield and swap out the 26 off my ccw. The thinness of the shield is VERY good for concealment and I gotta say, the shield is one SWEET gun. I won't be selling the 26 though, i might throw it in a SHTF bag because I know its reliable and its small enough to not take up a ton of space.

If glock made a single stack, g26"s" or whatever they would call it, I would be ALL over it though. I think that would definitely give the shield a run for its money.

Now I just need to think of what to replace my 1911 for my 3rd gun on my ccw... im leaning toward a g29.... :)

Im in the same boat. I am terrible with the G17. All over the paper at 10-15 yards. The G26 is in the black at those distances and even up to 20 yards.

I got rid of that G17, btw.

I love my 26, but love my 30sf more :).

In all honesty though the package that is the Glock 26 is hard to beat when it comes to capacity, and concealability. Really is the most ideal carry gun for deep concealment.

the reliability of the G26 is it's greatest strength, and is one of the primary reasons i own one; without reliable performance, all it's other desirable features wouldn't amount to a hill of beans. reliability is king.

I've owned G17 G19 and G26 and G36 G23...

I've always found the G-26 to work for me better than all the others. Just not as good as a Kahr K9... which is the best yet for me of any CCW Gun period. But if I chose GLOCK it would be a G26.. without question.

I have the G17, 19, 26 and 34 and I shoot my 19 and 26 the most. I keep all my handguns in the same caliber and see no need to buy anything but 9mm.
