I just paid for and put this bad boy in jail about 2 hours ago. This is in anticipation for my CCW that I will be applying for early next year. I figure I'll have a few months to practice with this gun and take my CCW class.

I paid $399, and $454 out the door. Kahr CW9

I have not. I have been looking for a CCW pistol as all of my current ones are too big. I have been handling and sampling as many as I could in the last few months. I don't like small guns. They don't feel right in my hand. But the first time I picked up the CW9, I fell in love with it. It felt 'right' in my hand. I loved the weight, the feel, and the size. I don't like the long trigger pull. That will take some getting used to.

Yeah, that bugs me too. But I liked the gun so much I overlooked the cardboard case.

I always use the plastic cases my other pistols come in to transport to and from the range.

Great choice. I love Kahr pistols. I have a K40 that I use as a carry pistol.

I'm actually glad when I get a cardboard box with my pistols. I don't want to pay for a nice case that I will only use once to bring the pistol home. I have a big range bag that stores 6+ pistols, mags, ammo for them all, 2 eyes and 2 ears, chrono, water, snacks, brass bag and what ever else I might need. All my OEM gun cases get put in the garage for storage. When my guns are home they are put in a safe that's in a deadbolted closet that's in my deadbolted office thats in my deadbolted and alarmed home :D

Great choice. I have a CW9 and could not be happier with it. You will especially LOVE the trigger--buttery smooth.

As far as accessories go, do yourself a big favor and buy a Houge Handall Jr. for this weapon. It will then just melt into your hand.

Enjoy...

the slightly older CW series pistols came in a plastic box. Just another way Kahr cut costs for the current year... But still a very nice pistol for CCW, I own one also... You will notice a little more muzzle flip while firing +P ammo.

@mikeinteresting - nice looking gun. Did you try out a Glock 26? How did it compare?
