Hey fellas,

I'm posting this in the Handgun forum to hear from a bigger sampling of shooters with wide experience levels. I've been asked by a few shooters for an Intro handgun class with USPSA Grandmaster and Special Forces veteran Frank Proctor. The curriculum will be more advanced than an NRA pistol course and will set you up for success in Frank's Tactical Performance Pistol course. If you've never shot competition or just started or have just started taking other training classes, this question is for you. Most likely, it would occur in February, on a Friday with a half day format and cost around $100. So, how many are interested?

If you'd like to hear more about Frank Proctor, please visit his website at wayofthegun.us or my YouTube channel for videos.
Many thanks for your time.

Hey man, I've shot with you and you'd definitely qualify for the Level 1 Tactical Performance Pistol course. :)

I am definitely down! I mainly used my M16 while I was in the Corps, never really had any formal training with pistols. This will help me out a lot and, the videos on the Way of the Gun website motivated the heck outta me =)

Hey man, likely Norco but could be another local LA centric range. Nothing definite yet so checking to see if there's enough interest for the class minimum, 10.

any chance that there will be a 2 day or 3 day class (handgun/carbine) with Frank in Nor Cal in 2013 or 2014?

I traded PMs with someone that may try to setup a class up there so look for something in the Competition/Training forum from them soon..maybe. :)

Just FYI fellas, I found this AAR from someone who took the Intro class. Check it out if you're curious about the curriculum and instructor.

I have my buddies and possibly their GF's that might be great for this class. They don't attend the ones I go to because it is out of their cost range. I'll shoot them a e-mail about this thread. Oh and I'd probably take it too :D

-edit-
So one buddy and his GF have voiced interest. They have taken a 1-day Vickers class before so their skill level should be just about right.

I'm interested. I've always wanted to take a class but there aren't too many classes that I hear of.

It depends on where the class is located mostly.

I'm always interested in more training.

Hey fellas, thanks to everyone who's posted in this thread and sent PMs. It looks like there's enough interest for an intro handgun class so Frank is looking into dates and logistics to coincide with other SoCal training. I'll post updates to this thread when we have more news.

I'm interested. Also interested if he adds his Performance Pistol class somewhere in SoCal.
I will track this thread but I mostly troll the Training section of CalGuns so please also post something there.
